I mix it up. I'm best with the Heavy but when it gets boring I try out the sniper, or the engineer or what ever I feel like at the time.

So, Escapist, which class do you play in TF2?
*Ahem*, Gentlemen? [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/The-Escapist-Team-Fortress-2-Group-PC]

According to Valve, 15% play Engineer (top class - before the update) and only 8% play the poor Heavy.

What's that sandvich? Kill them all? GOOD IDEA!

Umm.. There are 9 classes to choose from. How is that not enough options?
He means you can only have 8 poll answers.

Also, this is the third time this thread has been done THIS VERY MONTH.

Anyways, I play as Scout the most, but I somehow find Battlespy, Medic, Meleesniper and Pyro alot more fun. Dunno why.

Also, remember that the shotgun can do almost 70 damage in one hit, not the Scattergun, the one the Pyro, Heavy and Engineer have. It kicks ass.

The first, and so far, only, time I booted it up, I -TRYED- to play as the spy, but because of a really old laptop, which overheats at the main menu, and a shoddy internet connection, which got me constantly booted for lag. In other words, a class which is based on stealth doesn't work with lag, or frame skipping. I haven't played it since then.

Spy.I always liked stealth, makes me feel like a badass, I also do alot of rounds with the Engineer and Sniper for the same reason as:

I usually play as a sniper because I've found I am awesome at head shots.
Also I like sniping for similar reasons as to why I like stealth. If I feel like a ego trip I'll play Pyro or Heavy as playing as them is like easy mode, at least for me.

Heavy.

300-450 hp and a weapon that reduces most classes to a minor annoyance at close range?

Yes please.

engineer. place a turret and just watch as waves of dumbass heavies and scouts run right in and get mauled.

that is not to say all heavies and scouts are knobs. im referring to the knob playing the class.
go ahead. keep rushing that turret. hell, you've only done it like, 5 times now. but maybe you'll get it this time..

Well, before I actually owned a copy of my own I played on my (now) ex's PC. He was a dick and always made fun of me playing different classes because I wasn't to good at it to start with so I stuck to Pyro and Sniper, which I was good at.

Now that I own it I still play Pyro the most but have delved into other classes now though not nearly as much as Pyro. I'm still waiting for all the Engies to go away. :(

I find myself playing the medic the most, but that's because for some reason it's hard for me to find a game where the team already has a medic, so really it's not my choice despite the fact that I could ignore it and hinder the team by playing another class. Even if the team does have a medic, often times they are just horrible at it or they don't have a mic. Which is something I feel is very important when doing a heavy/medic tag team. I've been in games where just having the simple communication between those 2 players gave the team a great advantage over the other, so I try to supply that advantage when possible.

I usually aim for Spy if possible. It's something about being able to fool the other team into being dead in a few seconds that just works for me...

Though I often end up playing jack of all trades based off of the strategy the other team is using and what my team is lacking in. That's the best thing about Team Fortress 2 is that every class serves a purpose, so being fairly decent in each category is a good thing to have while pubcrawling.

The class I play the least however is the Scout. I feel they are severely underpowered these days unless they're used for a quick capture after a point was captured or for capturing the intel. Yet then again the spy can be used for a quick capture much more efficiently if they have Cloak and Dagger.

I like to drift between Spy, Heavy, Engineer and Pyro. Sometimes I'll whip out the Medic though.
