With all of these super serial and unfun threads running amok amongst the Escapist I thought I would pen up a funky (smelling?) one.

To get us started: Yesterday I ate a few sour-cream and onion Pringles chips before deciding to om-nom-nom on some fresh spinach from the fridge. After that I felt like having some carrots and as I bit off the green stem I caught a whiff of my own breath. OH MAN! It was like a vegan buffet party in a slaughter-haus and everyone was throwing up.

So what combination of food have you eaten that held your fresh breath at gun-point.

DO NOT SKIP THE JUICY DETAILS!!!

Three cloves of raw garlic and then a glass of pickle juice. It was for a bet.

Had to wait all night until I could flush out my mouth with Listerine. It wasn't a terrible experience and I got a beer out of it. Oh 2011, you were a silly time in my life.

I hope the cloud was at least opaque enough for me to dodge. XD

Not eating makes it smell the worst I reckon, especially if substances are involved that stop saliva production. Ever smelt the morning breath of someone after a rave ? It's like a dog's bum.

But talking strictly food, stuff with star of anise in...yuck.

My sense of smell doesn't work very well, so unfortunately I have no damn clue.

Once in college I ate an order of Cincinnati Red served on a Belgian Waffle. Yes it was at the campus cafeteria, and yes it was for a bet. And also, yes it was indeed awesome. Makes chicken and waffles look bland by comparison.

An hour or so later, met up with my girlfriend. What wasn't intended to be a brief greeting kiss became fairly brief indeed. I got a very disapproving look as she created some space between us (disapproving being a look I usually learn to recognize fairly quickly on in a relationship for some reason.)

"What in the world did they make you put on that waffle at lunch?" she said, knowing full well about my friends and our group's challenges to eat the strangest waffle toppings.

"Altoid?" I suggested as a solution.

"At least," she said physically turning me around and pushing me toward my dorm building, "brush first and then an altoid and THEN come back and kiss me. It was kind of a breakfasty, vinegary, spicy, mix. Not hugely unpleasant, just VEERRRYYY strange."

Oh and yes, I put vinegar on chili. Juicy enough?

Large amounts of dairy makes me reek, also makes my mouth feel foul. But hot damn I love that Wensleydale.

I do enjoy Wensleydale. I just tried Shropshire for the first time. Did not enjoy, but would one eat a lot of Shropshire... I would guess reeking would happen.

A night of drinking and smoking, followed by garlic and cheese chips, followed by passing out on my bed.

My allure and sexiness knows no bounds.

If any of your senses work after a rave, you've been doing it wrong :p

OT: Not exactly a combination, but I have a habit of eating entire chorizo sausages in one sitting. That doesn't make me very popular.

Toast. Doesn't matter what's on the toast. As long as it's bread, and has been either grilled or put into a toaster.

Really, my breath just smells like roadkill, full stop.

Ha, good point.

Also, I didn't know it was an option to NOT eat chorizo in 1 sitting...
