A form to obtain control over your population. Fear is a powerful tool is used correctly, and fear is specially useful to control your own population.

The county I live in. I from a county that borders Northen Ireland. It has been a hotbet for the IRA for decades.

People think the term "Terrorist" has only been around since 9/11

Despite the fact that it should immediately call to mind anyone with the intent of using treat of violence (especially against undefended/unaware non-combatants) these days it's become a contraction for "someone from outside North America, often the Middle East, that hates and seeks to wage some kind of war on the United States".

At least up here it would seem to be. Not sure what it's like for Mexico down below them, or other parts of the world.

Something the Dalai Lama said actually. "by fighting a war against terror you have doomed yourself to failure, how can you fight something that has no substance, no weight" it was a little deeper and meaningful when he said it with more charisma and a better explanation but that's the general idea of what he said.

The IRA and IRAQ....remember people...
There is only one letter difference ;)
No offense meant to anyone, anywhere, except possibly terrorists...
