As long as a game set outside the US is not one of the main (numbered) games, it should be fine though right?
After all its like what they are doing with New Vegas, just cutting to new areas to see more of the world without evolving the main storyline along.

The UK would have to be my choice - perhaps if they split the game into three 'Territories', so we could get a balance of terrain; The decimated urban sprawl of London, the haunting pleasure-beaches of Brighton and the overgrown, rural backwaters of Sussex.

Australia!

Yeah, let's shoot some kangaroo's!
Australia's wildlife is already full of unstoppable mutant freaks. Every single animal there can already kill a normal human. You can't survive Nukestralia.
Besides: Fallout's Americanness is what makes it Fallout. They should do New York though.

Just the US, I don't think it would work as well anywhere else.

Russia (Moscow) or do Norway and have all the music be black metal...
Hell no. I am Norwegian, and personally I think Black Metal is a blight on Rock and Metal.

Better yet, why not Cyrodiil? You could explore the half-sunken cantons of Vivec, or dive for loot in the irradiated lake which once was the Imperial City. And Aragonians would definitely get some mad rad resistance. The question is would it be Fallout 4 or The Elder Scrolls V?

Switzerland. Everyone there has a gun (is it Switzerland?) and politically they're at constant peace. So it can play diplomatically as well as with ample weaponry.

Cananda...

Two words: Yellow Stone

Allows for a lava, beautiful woodlands and lakes and apocolyptic waste-land to converge in one geographicly "accurate" place.

Plus exploding moose across glaciers and scoring a point by touching it down between two mountains would be AWESOME~!!

The fallout concept in itself is an inherently American concept, so moving it somewhere else would just be making a game about the apocalypse in said location. Not like this argument has already be made, ignored, and pushed aside already, but anyways yeah. Personally I don't see the Fallout series being super special awesome anywhere else

only the us was nuked by china in the fallout universe, so why would it be in any other country?
Because this is the internet. No one cares about game plot or canon, sadly, as long as they can make useless topics.
huh? the whole planet was either nuked or fucked-up in the aftermath. you could set a fallout in romania and it would still be ok canonically...
It might as well not exist though. Why leave america? That...sorta goes against the premise of fallout. Honestly, just go re-read the Canadian Fallout topic to see this argument again. It's set in America, that's where it should stay.
i dunno, i mean i'm curious what might come out of the fallout satirical humor and a new setting...

although i agree that it would be somehow weird to see fallout see fallout set somewhere else... still, it might be worthwile :)

anyway, i was sayin china bombing america is very much canon. there was this usa-ussr-china war as a "setting" for fallout 1, kinda like ww3, but named the resource war :)) kinda hilarious if u ask me.

Eldall Scrout v4.

If we're going to go whole hog crazy here: The Mushroom Kingdom.

Japan, obviously.

I'd love to scale Tokyo Tower while shooting down ghoul cosplayers.

id like to see DLC bringing us to island territories, more of alaska might be interesting but personaly i dont see a whole game coming out of it, china would be cool to see the oposite side of the coin, russia would be kinda odd, seeing as how russia doesnt come into the fallout universe much so far (AS FAR AS I KNOW, my knowledge on fallout 1 is pretty low, and i still havent finished fallout 2), africa would be ehhhh.... i mean jungles would be kinda cool but it would totaly change the feel of fallout, deserts obviously fit and africa has deserts, but i cant see it being too great, and for some reason a north pole fallout seems like fun....even if its just for ghoul santa.....

that acutaly sounds amazingly good....like i would play that for HOURS, i can see the white gold tower knocked down, the imperial city crawling with ghouls, the oblivion gates being used for wasteland surviors worship, the graduall recovery of magic over science....it would be pretty sick
