What country has the coolest flag?

The Red Flag of the Soviet Union is actually a cool flag. In it's simplicity (and Russian having a different association for the word 'red'), it's pretty cool.

The flag of the old Prussian Empire (even if it doesn't exist anymore) is flipping awesome.

Canada has an adorable flag.

South Korea has a cool flag too.

Annnd, I do like the flag of the United States. It's pretty dramatic and cool.

And given America's roots in Great Britain, have to give a nod to the Union Jack. (Even if we did throw your tea in the harbor. No hard feelings. We love you guys.)

I hate the colours of the Union Jack. Red, white and blue has been done to death. It annoys me every time I see that colour combination. Ever seen the Crunchy Nut adverts where they change the Union Jack to black, red, yellow and white? That looks brilliant. Germany's flag looks brilliant.

My favourite, though, would have to be the South African flag. Who knew you could put so many colours in a flag and it would still look good?

I like the traditional European flags - especially of those countries wich still have a royal flag. For example - the republic of Serbia still has its old monarchic flag, wich radiates dignity, respect and longevity. The twin-headed byzantine eagle of the roman emperors, the christian cross modifed with the serbian slogan, the royal crown. It's pure awsome. Few countries kept the old design. Croatia has a similar one. And Mexico is one example out of Europe, with a still traditional flag. Spain has also a nice flag.

As for simple but effective design and presentation, i like the modern flad of Germany, red, black and gold, with the Bundesadler to complete it. It's pretty neat. Coincidentally, the flag of the Kingdom of Prussia, Germany's forerunner, is my favorite state flag.

I don't really have a favorite, but I must say the American flag looks so bad.

I live in the US and love the place, but it's just so ugly with all the stars and stripes. The color selection doesn't help it either.

The US flag is kinda meh aesthetically though

Except the German flag now they added yellow so it would be less imperialistic...seriously during the De-Nazification Programs some genius saw that the Second and Third Reich had a Red, White, Black colors in their flag thus decided removing one of the colors and replacing it with yellow would make them less imperialistic that the Germans allowed that shit is simply embarrassing.
