As for the next doomsday prediction after 2012? Well I'm certain the guy who make the previous rapture prediction probably will set it back a decade or so like he did last time his rapture prediction 'Based on irrefutable mathematical proof found in the Bible' failed.

I've been hearing about this maian end of the world scenario in December 21th, 2012 since 2006. I thank the History channel for that, but I'm sure that some obscure new doomsday date wil appear. I'm also sure that it'll set in motion the creation of the greatest disaster movie ever!!! ...

What people do not seem to realize is that a lot of these theories have been around for centuries. We've had Ragnarok, Noah's flood, Sumerian flood tied in with Gilgamesh. Etcetera. Etcetera. I read somewhere that the date really isn't 2012, it was something in the 4000's.
