Superman.

And stick it with what makes Superman interesting, his morality. Let me play the Superman game where he's trying to balance his normal life and crime fighting with Mr. Myxlpltk fucking it all up on him. Give him tough decisions he has to live with. Save an old Woman or save a bus load of kids.

Superman 64 had this idea of using a virtual reality setting, and one my favorite Superman stories as a kid was the "adventures of Lois and Clark" i think, Superman and Lois got trapped in a virtual environment by this evil dude. There ya go, I just gave you a physical enemy on par with Sups that's capable of hurting him ala Matrix (Your mind makes it real)

Want more fun? Do Batman vs Superman fight from Superman's perspective. Where the whole point, the strategy of the fight is to hold back because you don't want to hurt Bruce... Unfortunately Bruce isn't holding back

With the recent announcement, why not Cyborg? If any established character can rip off the Metroid Prime series and make it work, it would probably be the guy that can actually upgrade. Also, supporting cast (and maybe playable segments) as the teen titans and you pretty much have a solid basis for a game.

God of War style Wonderwoman?

Shoggoth's mention of a Lobo version of Saints Row would kick all kinds of ass.

Ninjariv's idea for a game around the Question gives me wonderful feelings in my pants. Preferably little to no combat though: let the elaborate and insane puzzles do the talking. Like a demented professor Layton.

Blue Beetle. Any of the three would work I think, but if you wanted to keep the same feel as the Arkham games then the Ted Kord version might be best since he always struck me as a kind of self-aware Batman.
Although the appeal of playing as Jaime Reyes and charging about in alien power armour is undeniable

I just want a good game for the Kryptonian family, Superman, Supergirl, PG... or a horror game for Animal Man and Swamp thing. That's gonna be good, maybe a game with 2 campaigns.

Wonder Woman: Basically make it a new God of War game where only about half of the Greek Gods are jerks who need to be killed by you and the protagonist is considerably more positive and likeable. Also no Blades of Chaos, but Diana has used/trained with every melee weapon in existence at some point as well as the bow and lasso, so no lack of variety for weapon choice.
It should have two settings, modern world and greek gods world. Imagine WW pawning criminals in modern setting... mmmm.

Secret Six: Squad-based, mission-based action game where you can pick and switch between each of the team's members depending on your personal preferences and situations. Deadshot would be a shooter where you can either mow down hordes of baddies or snipe out distant topics, Catman would be a stealth-based assassination style thing where you track down and knife tough guys in the back, Scandal would be similar but more head-on and less stealth based, Ragdoll would be all acrobatic/platformy and you could incorporate some stealth into that, Bane would be uncomplicated smashy smash, and Jeanette would be.. fun S&M scenes between missions? (plus bonus aquatic missions to play King Shark and magic areas to play Black Alice, this game practically writes itself).

Personally I would love to see a comedic pseudo-sandbox style game (like Infamous without the moral choices) starring the Palmiotti-Gray-Connor run on Power Girl where you would just swoop around the city and stop crimes while occasionally being blackmailed by tween-age boys or get hit on by alien god-kings who need to re-fertilize their planet. And then it ends with you beating the Ultrahumanite into little white monkey chunks.
Yes please!! I'm so sick of Batman, Batman, Batman, Batman all the time!!

Aquaman deserves a game that doesn't suck. Very underrated character and from what I hear his Gamecube game was just "Superman64 2"
That's gonna be a lot of water levels. :(

Well going to reply to my own thread with yet another idea because whatever. I really would like to see a Red Tornado game. I admit it would not be anything revolutionary in game play but I would like to play it. You would need to set it in generic american city probably more Coast than urban. He would fly around like Iron man and his attacks would be like real Tornado attacks. It would be really cool if you could knock around objects in the environment with your tornadoes.

I don't know if that would be enough so maybe it could be a team up game with three minor league heroes. If it was a coast city then there could be Aquaman missions in the water, Red Tornado could fly around in the sky and someone like Green Arrow could fight in the city streets.

I realize this may be a little too big in scope but just making up ideas for fun.

One other idea is I would love a Batman Beyond game. Just saying what we are all thinking, a big open world city like New York with super acrobatic Batman. I mean Batman Beyond was essentially Spiderman anyway, a teen superhero who has super strength and agility and deals with fighting crime and teen life at the same time.

My DC Universe online character, 'Memory'

He's really cool and edgy, wears a hooded black trenchcoat with a gas mask, and has spiked gauntlets.

Idk it was a few years ago and my definition of 'cool' wasn't quite up to scratch...

I would really like to see a good Superman game. I want to fly around and save people and punch things and thwart giant missiles and stuff.

I don't know as many DC characters as Marvel, but I'd go for most of them. Green Lantern also immediately springs to mind.

The problem is you cannot really die or loose as Superman combat wise, unless you want to some lame mechanics or give everyone Kyrptonite weapons, which is so boring.

What I think would be a better game to play as Ultraman leading the Crime Syndicate.

That way you can play as god that cannot loose in combat and game (win/lose) mechanics can be based on a turf war/city takeover system between Supervillians. Kind of like Prototype.

well first off, I watching Sups: Animated Series growing up and c'mon. Sups plenty of the time knock around enough. He may be bullet proof but he can still feel. He can still find fatigue.

Also like I said, Superman64 had and idea. Virtual Reality.

Thirdly, fuck... Doomsday beat him without Kryptonite.

I'm just saying, we don't need one weakness to beat Superman in a game. A strong enough enemy would do the trick, but combat shouldn't even be the pont of a superman game. Timing is everything in Batman because that's all Batman is, his training. Superman games should be about hard choices,

I think I'd like to see a Jonah hex game. I know that Red Dead Redemption was probably as good as the cowboy genre was going to get, but if the story was taken the direction of the Justin Gray/Jimmy Palmiotti stories, it could have some decent gameplay opportunities. I only have issues #0-15 of the new 52 series of All Star Western, but when I finished, they had Jonah hex up against Mr Hyde, and previously him romping around 1800's Gotham with Amadeus Arkham in toe, those settings in an of itself offer some room for exploration. Plus Jonah's not a farmer, so no pointless herding missions like RDR.

I think it would be pretty rad if there was a game based off the Superman/Captain Marvel short, that's just me though. I know it's super unpractical but if they found a way to make it, I would buy the crap out of it.

I cosign this suggestion

I'd love a Static Shock game, gliding and Zapping Bad guys would be a treat. And it would up the diversity in games without it feeling forced. I think Infamous showed what you could do with electric powers well.

The entirety of Teen Titans. Each with their own story arc, their own powers and make it multiplayer optional for these story lines. Like that one part in DmC3 where Player 2 could control Vergil in the Arkham fight. You could control Robin and Starfire, Cyborg and Robin, Beast Boy and Cyborg, Beast Boy and Raven, hell, even Beast Boy and Terra, for a mission or three.

And have the entire team, at points, go up against the likes of Deathstroke (Slade), Trigon, Brother Blood, Control Freak, Johnny Rancid, etc.

That could sell some major units if made correctly, mark my words.

OK, so I'm going more niche

FIRESTORM

Why? Because it could involve all of these

-Aerial Zone-of-the-Enders style battles between Firestorm and his various opponents
-Easy 'grunts' in the form of Multiplex (finally, justifying the huge amounts of cannon fodder!)
-Puzzles when re-arranging elements (want to turn water into candy, move these electrons and protons around to make the shape shown on the screen!)
-Possible bonus feature, DUAL CONTROL! you and a friend both control Firestorm as either Ronnie or Jason, act in sync and score big points!

Yeah, I genuinely think that videogame wise, this'd be the most fun you could reasonably crack out of this. Also, rare take, I don't think Sandbox. I think hub world as Jason/Ronnie where they both have different skillsets and which one you get rotates to railroad you into certain levels in a certain order.

Kinda surprised someone beat me to Catwoman. I really think she could use her own game where she steals, and defeats security systems, and such.
I wouldn't complain if she were teamed up with Harley Quinn, and Poison Ivy in a Gotham City Sirens game. Maybe the plot would be to work with/against other criminals to not be the nail that stick up too much or else Batman comes to kick your face in, while amassing as much wealth as possible? maybe to upgrade your home/base, gear, maintain enough funds to keep getting more materials, etc.

Really surprised someone beat me to Secret Six. I definitely agree with that.

Birds of Prey could work, too.

Batgirl, maybe. "Which one?" would be the big questions as each are pretty distinct. Robin got his own DLC in Arkham City that didn't have batman butting in.

I could definitely be happy if Wonderwoman got her own game.

Batman Inc. maybe. Instead of focusing on just batman, maybe the rest of the members could be around, and useful?

How about Power Girl? I'm sure that'd get some controversy, especially if it's the pre-new 52 design, not that I'm a fan of that sort of thing. Toss in Super Girl, and I think that'd be grand.
Of course there'd no doubt be the angry folks that'd complain if either character got a good game before Superman did.

It'd be nice if things got mixed up some, and/or lesser known characters got some attention to, maybe, inspire people to be fans of them?
I mean Project X-zone had me looking up people thanks to it's massive cast that had people I didn't know much, if anything about until I played that game. Scribblenauts Unmasked did the same a bit, too.
