On a side note: "You're a feather right? What's that all about? Say hi to your mother for me."
Let me geuss... You're a drummer?Nincompoop said:If you want to have a professional band, the drummer is the most important member.
No musician with any self respect would listen to a band which couldn't hold down a steady beat.
I don't know what you mean by lazy when referring to drummers. It's the most able instrument to let yourself loose on, and not play the exact same thing again and again in a performance (as opposed to chords that the guitar player plays, for example). They can 'wing' it, which obviously requires more.
The drummers are also the most active members in a concert. Sure, the singer might prance around, but the drummers constantly use their entire body. Have you ever seen a drummer in a band which has somewhat heavy drums? Like with those double bass-drum plays? They have to take off their shirt because of the excessive sweating.
I really, really, really don't like this attitude against drummers everyone is having. Even though it is mostly in all good humor, too many really think they don't do anything, and give all the credit to the 'main' members (guitars/vocals).
If we have to find the laziest member in a band, look at the bass player. However important they are (in the same manner as drums, keeping a steady beat), they are the ones who we should call lazy, if any.
My main instrument is piano, but I drum as well. Well actually I'm not playing much at the moment =/.Kavachi said:Let me geuss... You're a drummer?Nincompoop said:If you want to have a professional band, the drummer is the most important member.

I do agree with you though, even if you bring it a bit fanboyish and whiney, you have good points. Drumming is incredibly difficult to do right and very exhausting.
