I aways feel like i have done something bad on Xbox Live because half the people mute me(Don't ask how i know they did). I am not even one of those cursing people or a 5 year old that thinks he is the shit but i am still muted. Weird right oh and thought i would mention this i have friends on Xbox Live but only a couple i play with often so i was wondering if anyone wants to play some games sometimes i usually play Halo 3 and Red Dead Redemption for multi player and i will be playing Reach almost all the time when it comes out, ok thank you all for reading all of this.

They probobly mute for their own protection, no matter what kind of a person you are

First, they aren't five, they are teenagers who talk like that to piss people off. You are doing something bad, do you trash talk? annoying? Treat everyone like they are dumb?

Ugh... I stopped using microphones as soon as I started going online on Xbox Live. Very close minded people there...

some people do it because they just hate hearing other people talk while they're playing, hell, they might just be listening to music and hearing someone else while i'm listening to my music kills the experience so i want them to shut up.

Haven't gone on multiplayer but my brother usually mutes everyone who's not in his party because most of them will ***** if you do something to them at all.

Do you talk to everyone else anyway? Because sometimes people are even annoyed by someone else's conversations so that might be the reason.

I mute everyone in a match because people rarely have anything constructive to add using their mics. They usually just breathe into it very loudly, and occasionally you get a child screaming obscenities. Maybe I'm not the only one with this strategy?

I mute people a lot, just because I find it distracting and most of the time they're just saying stuff like "ZMOG DID YOU SEE THAT? I PWNED HIM".

Maybe you have a high-pitched voice? It doesn't matter anyway, don't take things on the internet/xbox live personally.

Assumption before trial. They're probably making a decision before actually hearing it. I don't have a lot of problems when I'm on, but I'm rarely on to begin with, since I don't even own a 360. I have to hop over to my friend's house if I'm going to use it.

Considering the type of people that play its perfectly justified, don't take it personally. I myself mute everyone when I enter a game because I don't really care to hear others saying ANYTHING while I'm playing, its not meant to be offensive.
