Well, either messing around outside, N64, or gameboys. Pokemon was a good time killer and I refuse to acknowledge that there's more than 251.

Born in '90; I feel older than I should when I think about those relatively few years before my unsupervised experiences with dial-up internet back in '97. Guess everyone who was around for the 90's is feeling nostalgic, eh?

For me, it was LEGOs mostly: I swear, playing with them makes you smarter as a kid.

Other than that, mixing household cleaners and detergents to make highly-toxic insecticides, drawing shit like "futuristic" machines a la 'mechwarrior', and TV - thinking back, I'm amazed what kid's shows in the late 80's- late 90's could get away with in comparison to all the highly-sterilized and even more PC stuff they have now.

Good times, but the internet really has been an awesome medium in it's short timespan of popularity.

*Edit: Oh, and how could I forget the Gameboy Color? It's amazing to think of how far pocket gaming has advanced too, back then having color was considered a pricing point instead of it just being for granted as it is today.

Very silimar to what you did OP. In my case though I read less books and explored outside. When I was at that age I grow up non working farms. I would explore it. I moved around enough so I never fully explored/ got bored of the area I was in. I only moved to the city in late 2001/ early 2002. As we planned to stop moving around we thought it would be worth the money to get internet installed. It been a major part in my life from then.

I did have crappy internet in the one house that was in a town. It was crappy and I never was allowed to use it much. So I stayed with my nintendo.

There was this world, which we kids used to call "The outside".
We used to play there and have fun, but now it's forgotten.
THIS

When i grew up, playing in the park (football - not the american kind) was what kids under 15 did after school.

I didn't really get the internet until my freshman year of high school. Most of the time I was playing video games: Started with SNES and Sega Genesis, got an N64 for X-Mas when it came out, and a lot of my dad's PS2 when I moved in with him.

Hell, I didn't even get a regular XBox until after the 360 came out.

So do you remember a time in your life when you didnt have access to the internet? has the internet changed your life at all?

in my case because of my age (born in 1991) I do vaugley remeber a time without it however really its been a big part of my life, ive pretty much grown up with it ,I mean I didnt really use it much when I was younger I watched alot of TV had my N64 and books I supose

but now as an adult its one of the nessecities alongside Energy drinks and air, Plus I dont even watch TV, in fact it baffles me how TV can compete with the internet (considering even the crappy state of foxtel/pay TV in Australia, in fact why would you bother? free tv is getting better I supose)

anyway Im quite facinated by this internet/technology thing, how its become a huge thing in such little time
Basically, before I had internet, I read books. Lots and lots of books. I had (and still do) stacks upon stacks of books that I'd read through over and over again.

In 1991 I was using the internet.. But you would not recognize it as such... Gopher, telnet, ftp.
