What did you do on your 18th?

So they apparently had this kind of "surprise party" planned. Seriously guys who the hell are you trying to surprise I own a fucking calendar.

When I saw them coming I just sat there very quietly until they left. That was my 18th birthday.

My 21 was significantly easier because no one bothered me, hooray!

Me I was in a club by midnight of my birthday. By the end of the day I was on a plane headed to Iraq. Oh the fun times.

I had oral surgery and got to sign the consent forms myself.

Chose to spend the procedure listening to the strangest album I possessed (Where's Neil When You Need Him?, a tribute to Neil Gaiman's works) while on laughing gas.

Afterwards I drugged myself up with Percocet, thus the fact that I don't remember the rest of the day at all. Either I was online chatting with friends (and making a fool of myself; IMing while high is a poor idea), or I was half asleep watching movies on the couch.

The following Saturday my sister and I went out to see Wicked and afterwards went to dinner at Olive Garden on my parents' dime. I ended up with two birthday cakes that year and was very pleased.

I was robbed, had everything I owned of any real value stolen, hell, they stole my Memory cards but they left the old school boob tube monitor I'd been using. I was living with my grandfather at the time and his words were, and I quote, "Well, at least nothing of mine was taken" I nearly knocked his block off. Good birthday amirite? >_<

I rented a hut (2 floors) in the middle of a forest on top of a mountain, some thousand watts stereos, lots of people and one or two fridges full of beer and booze ... hell of a party.

Nothing of note, other than doing college assignments and staying up playing UT2004 with friends. Good times.

I registered to vote and I registered for the draft.

I went to college, went home, collected well wishes and gifts from family that consisted mainly of a lot of cash, went out and got a tattoo, went back home with 2 pizzas, a 2 litter Pepsi, a movie rental, and a sore thigh to spend the rest of the night with my family.

Where I live there are no strip clubs. My friends and I drove several hours up and down the state of Florida in search of a good strip club and a gas station that sold Mountain Dew Supernova. We also tricked a girl into believing one of my other friends was a doctor and was wearing a helmet because he had to go into surgery soon.

Ditched school, hung out with friends and then went home got yelled at and read the rest of the day. Oh and almost kicked out of my house.

I haven't actually 'celebrated' my birthday in years. So on my 18th, my mum had bought this sudo-cake that we ate in the morning, my grandparents congratulated me and then I went to my older brother's apartment and stayed there for a couple of days (he lives in another town). Brother's gf had also made me a sudo-birthday cake which was good. Then we watched some movies.

I didn't even drink on my 18th cos the day itself didn't really hold any especial meaning to me. Just another day of the year.

This year, though, I'm turning 20 and I'm going to 'celebrate' that by (legally) buying a bottle of Leijona and drinking it alone.

For my 18th Birthday I went to my friends birthday party, he was born two days before me. It was great, all my friends were there, we went and had a meal at a restaurant, and went back to his house for some stupid party games, and his mum got all his baby pictures out, and we worked ourselves into hysterical laughter for 10 solid minutes at a picture of him on the beach, looking happy while eating a mouthful of sand.

I hate fuss and attention at birthdays, so it was a great party as I wasn't the centre of attention, and could sit in the corner sniggering at stupid things.

7 day bash at my house =) mines on the 12th of july so had to stay outa the city centre. but got the house for a week had all m8s over. many games and movies were watched songs sung and copious amounts of alcohol were consumed in all forms. =)

OT: I had a meal out with my parents on my actual birthday, when a few days later had a big party with family and friends, drank way to much, line-danced (?) and then had to have my best mate and girlfriend at the time carry me home, fell onto sofa and slept for hours. Was an awesome night.
