have yet to decide, ill keep reading and see the coolest thing here and try to out do it on my 18th
Bought a pack of smokes and spent the day with some friends. Nothing much really. Wish the drinking age was changed here in USA.
Forgot it was my birthday until my spanish teacher asked us all to say our birthdate in spanish, still took me a second to connect the dots
I took finals, went and ate lunch with friends and went home. I've never been one for celebrating my birthday.
Ate duck. Got alcohol (2 bottles of liquoir, 2 bottles of sake, one bottle of wine and some beer) and money for presents. Didn't get drunk. Sleep.

Well, my parents were visiting my sister in hospital so I sat alone in my house all night. I would have had friends over but my dog is a tad violent. I started watching lesbian Vampire Killers but there was a powercut. Needless to say, it was memorable...
Pretty disappointed actually. I had to move to a new city and really didn't have any close friends. I walked into a store and bought a pack of cigarettes and didn't even get carded. That kind of pissed me off, because for years I had to ask other people to buy them for me and then it turns out I didn't even need to show my ID. Same thing happened when I turned 21 and went to buy beer. Then went to school, bought a polish sausage from a gas station for lunch. Had dinner and cake with the family later and got a CD I already owned. But that weekend I did go back to my hometown and get thoroughly wasted with friends, so that was nice.
Sat in the pub and had my first legal drink whilst watching the Queen Mother's funeral on the big screen. Odd, but memorable. I spent the rest of the day avoiding one of the barman who was making sarcastic remarks about me wanting my "usual" (we'd been drinking there for a good year beforehand, ho hum). There was probably some blowout in the evening, but it would have been for my friend's benefit more than my own; I'm not really that keen on nightclubs and stuff.
My birthday often coincides with thanksgiving day. So its usually a turkey, ham and such.. at relative's place. I'm not an American so it's bit weird for me.
