I sent him a sonogram of his soon to be grand baby and a recipe for one of his favorite foods I tinkered with to make it easier to cook but still taste good.
i havent personally gotten him anything for fathers day i dont think, i dont even know what my mom's gotten...
but at least i remembered the day....yesterday that is! thanks for the reminder.
My father died when I was 10 and my parents divorced by the time I was 6 mths old. My grandfather was the one who stepped into the dad role and raised me like his own child.
He asked for a 5 bladed razor, so I got him the new gilette fusion pro glide power. I also got him a few other things since I felt guilty over just a razor, it's what he wanted and asked for, but when you do so much for someone, I try to go above and beyond.
Me and my brother (read: my brother with me tagging along and writing my name in the card) bought him a couple of Blu-ray DVDs. Not much else to say, really. We were going to get him a pipe at first though, since if you can't get them to stop you might as well make them look cool doing it.
We had some good'ol father son bonding, for the whole day. A few bottles of coke, burgers, french fries, and fast food, with some ribs in his king sized bed, while watching a few of his favorite movies, and alot of his Chinese shows, a few matches of Battlefield Vietnam.
My Dad's away filming a movie in China (yeah, he's a director), so I couldn't really give him anything but a phone call. I gave my Grandfather a drawing of the American woodland.
