I can reanimate an old computer with pieces from Compaqs, Gateways, and Dells and play Survival Crisis Z on it.

Never masturbate while wearing any item of clothing that has drawstrings.

Eating nothing but Jaffa Cakes and Irn-Bru for all day makes you feel like shit.

That Nietzsche's critiques on Schopenhauer's views on aesthetical experiences do not all hold up under closer scrutiny.

It's exam season, and I'm studying for my Aesthetics 2 class.

I learned that the Ebon Hawk server on The Old Republic is quite transphobic, at least on the Sith side. Thirty minutes of calling transgender people freaks, trannys, and several other slurs. Then defending it with "roleplaying" when people got mad. Kinda left a bad taste in my mouth and made me want to get the fuck off that planet as soon as possible.

Oh, I also learned that Total War: Rome II is about fifty times more fun with cheats.

Studies have shown that open office plans cause more distractions and are in fact detrimental to productivity.[footnote]http://www.newyorker.com/business/currency/the-open-office-trap[/footnote]

Then again, if the alternative is cubicles I'd rather jump out of a window than deal with those.

Somehow I doubt that where I'm going to end up working will always have the resources for those. I sure hope so though. Maybe it helps that I don't want to go into the for-profit sector (less chance of ending up in a massive company).

Also, I learned another thing today. That oranges are quite a ***** to peel when one arm is in a cast. Worth it though.

So, more on topic - today I learned that some places have a shower in the kitchen. I mean, really, yes - I was looking at properties and one of them literally has the shower stall in the kitchen. Not just a random shower stall, the shower stall. It's just a pace away from the oven.

Well, if a stove fire gets out of control, you'll always have a readied source of water with which to put it out.

OT: I've learned that being a fan of RPGs means that you'll almost never run out of games you want to play over. And over. And over again.

I learned that Irn Bru is becoming more and more readily available in my fragmented, North-Georgia community. I also learned that Mars Bars are really, really damn good. They're like a Twix but without the fear that they need to add a cookie crunch.

I learned:I need to stop saving shit so that I don't have to delete shit just to make room for more [pending] shit...I might enjoy Dirty Grandpa when I coincidentally see it in the future...It's raining!!My internet keeps blacking out...I still open too many tabs...I never have any New Years resolutions...My grandma's order of the 1994 version of Miracle on 34th Street has been shipped...Billy Madison still holds up...It's Steven's birthday!!In two days, I would be doing 8-hour volunteer shifts at a coastal convention all throughout the weekend...I have yet shared my Wii U Nintendo ID to potential friends...Other than that, I got nothing... except that I posted in this thread...

I learned that apparently I keep attracting guys that are chauvinistic, sexist assholes who think that girls can't play video games as good as they can and that they're automatically know-nothing idiots who constantly need to be taught fun facts about games they've repeatedly said they enjoy - hey, did you guys know that Silent Hill is a SURVIVAL HORROR?? 'Cuz I sure didn't! Boy am I glad this guy was here to set the record straight, otherwise I would have no idea why it's my favourite game series!

I also learned that most people are just selfish pricks who expect and want everyone to see their art and stories and they waste time telling you exactly what's going on in their mundane little lives but can't be arsed to pay attention to someone else who actually got an idea that friendship is about mutual discussion and not being an attention-whoring swine.

Okay I lied I knew that second part but the first one still seems confusing.

Uhmmmm I also learned that macaroni made with margarine is tastier than making it with butter?

Today I learned that my friends can't work a map in a game.

Granted, it was DCU Online, and I find the map and a few other systems to be somewhat clunky, but...40 minutes.

Today I learned that picking colours for a house is HARD. I spent a solid 3 hours choosing the interior and exterior colours and designs for my (soon-to-be) house, and could've easily spent longer on it, had it not been a 3 hour appointment.

That I need to pay attention more often. Basically, my classes for the new semester start in about a week, and when I was scheduling them, I wasn't paying attention and I accidentally scheduled two classes 15 minutes apart on two separate campuses, about 15-20 miles apart. Yeah, it's not pretty.

I also learned that Xenoblade Chronicles X is still fun, despite me losing about 19 hours after I had to return the Wii U that I was borrowing from a friend and I couldn't copy the save data.
