Drømnæð, using alternate characters to give it that authentic fake nordic feel. As a fun bonus, I'm not at all sure how to pronounce it.
It would be pronounced:

Drumnath

Which is actually pretty damned awesome!

EDIT:
Though the Æ is pronounced like the A in "Attack!" or "Example" and not the A in for example "Barn" or "Car"

EDIT2:
I should also point out that "Drøm" (Norwegian) means "Dream" and "næð" (Old Norse) means "Night". SERIOUSLY, YOU DID NOT PLAN THIS?

What a wonderful coincidence.
Hahaha! Nope, I had no idea. I seriously just frigged around with syllable combinations in the prompt until I came up with something suitably ominous sounding. I wanted an original, yet Scandavian-flavoured name, though my knowledge of any of those languages is next to nil.

Thanks for the clarification, and also the killer revelation in your second edit.

Gary, because Bethesda can try and try and try their hardest to immerse me in a fantasy RPG and I still will fail to take it seriously enough to come up with a stereotypically mythical character name. That, and I dunno, it has a nice ring to it, despite it being one of those common Average Joe names.
Hehehehe. Fallout 3 (Bethesda) had a whole Vault (108 for the curious Lone Wanderer) filled with all clones of a "Gary". And all they say is "Gary". As in, "Gary, Gary Gary. Garrrrryyyy!"
I find your choice of name, therefore, hilarious.
Oh, really? I was not aware. I just like the name, I guess.

T'Arge Blacksail - the Orc marauder. Yeah I ripped his first name off the name of a type of Celtic shield and threw an apostrophe in for good measure.

Agmarr Olafson, Nord gentle giant, unless he's being faced down by bandits or murderous mudcrabs.

Erik The Dragonborn - I figured that'd be how he's known by the other Nords (obviously not at the time I named him, when he would have just been Erik Eriksen, but without being able to change his name, I kinda had to stretch it.

Gilcomgaine

It's the name of the original Hunter from the Gargoyles animated series, but bad-assery aside I chose it because of the sounds "il" and "gain" therein. As in "ill-gotten gains." Fitting for the new master of the Thieves Guild.
