I ask myself this all the time... and with very little money to spare on games it seems impossible to find something good to play. Yet... every now and than i'll randomly and unexpectedly stumple upon something awesome like Ys Origin. Damn that is pure jrpg goodness.

The Fallout 3 DLCs.
Then either Fallout NV (including DLCs, without them it's much less enjoyable) or Bioshock 2.

Or just play Sacrifice.
You're never wrong playing Sacrifice.

Fallout New Vegas. It is really a lot of fun and has so much content that you can't possibly find it all in just one playthrough. Add in the DLC and you've easily got something that'll last you around 100 to 150 hours. I know because I've done that many hours for New Vegas with 43 characters...I had a lot of free time in the past.
43 characters???

I've only made six. :(

OT: Well, when you're done with finals definitely do New Vegas. Once you look past the bugs, you'll find an amazing and fun game.

I was going to say definitely Deus Ex, best game of the last few years. But Dishonored is also pretty good but really short so dishonored then Deus Ex imo.

Xcom, oblivion and Fallout are also great contenders. But to tell the truth there's not a bad game(some I dislike but I can't say they're bad objectively.) in the entire selection so you're good.

PS - Arkham city harley's revenge takes about an hour and a half if you just want to see the story, it's pretty cool too.

I found that I like playing Grand strategies during finals. You play it for about 4-5 turns a day, and then move on to whatever you're doing normally. (I'm currently in my new grand campaign in Medvieval 2: TW)

But from those games, I recommend Dishonored, it can be completed pretty quickly, or just by exploration you can make the game twice as big.

The whole list you got there is great! Except kingdoms of Amalur. I bought it, played it for 50 hours. But that's because I didnt have anything else to play, its kind of samey and boring after 20 hours. If i consider all the fantastic stuff you've got up there, KoA is kind of a waste of time.

Play Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii. I don't care if it's not on your list, or even whether or not you have a Wii; you must play Xenoblade Chronicles. This is non-negotiable.

Is this another chance to say Bastion is $20 on steam and Saints Row 3 + DLC is $40. Play Bastion, the SR3
This, Bastion is hands down the best indie game I've played, and one of the best games overall as well. Dat narrator. Haven't played SR3 yet though, but if you want to play that, get the Humble THQ Bundle instead.

From your list though, the DLC for Gears 3 is pretty fun, although there's not much single-player content to beat. The additions to multi-player are fun though, and the single-player missions from the General Raam DLC are good fun.
Both Fallout games are great, but if you lose yourself easily in RPGs, they are also massive timesinks. Same for Dragon Age and The Witcher, fantastic games, but easy to spend a LOT of time in. Haven't played it yet, but from what I've heard, I'd say go for Dishonored.
