When I think of healing potions, I think of cherry flavor. Mana potions taste like Mountain Dew Voltage (the blue one XD), and rejuvenation potions (heals hp and mp) tastes like grape soda.

Health potions, being the distillation of the essence of life, cause a strong taste of every type, especially bitterness.

Mana potions taste like when you lick a battery.

Well it has to at least taste ok, otherwise my character in Diablo is probably extremely angry because he has to down like 40 of those a dungeon.

Skittles vodka.

If you're over 21, you like vodka, and you haven't infused it with Skittles yet...well, what the hell are you still reading this for?

Plus you have the flexibility of the other colors for ____ Potions.

For some reason I imagine them tasting very soapy. I think that's mostly because in some games, bubbles appear when your character drinks potions.

Since they're usually represented by the colors red and blue, I always assumed Coke and Pepsi.

I always assumed they were just the Cherry or Blue Raspberry syrup in an ICEE.
Whenever I played Diablo 2, I thought the same thing. The other thing that I thought was "does my character ever need to go to the bathroom?"

Well we know what the Final Fantasy ones taste like.

I really really hope the Diablo ones taste good and not like a fermented shoe pulled out of a hobo's arse. Otherwise I feel really bad for the poor little guy, He's chugged so many of the damn things :)

I feel like although they look very fruity they can't taste that good or I imagine there would be more addicts in video games.

Oddly seeing as how often there are these bottles of "life", games never deal with addiction.

I can't speak to health potions, but mana potions are kind of nasty. Like an energy shot, but a little less well blunted by artificial flavors.

Well, they could always take the Fallout route with chems, although Fallout didn't go so far as to make stimpacks addictive. Come to think of it, that might have added an interesting twist - seeing as how stims are probably morphine or some other opiate, making them addictive would make it harder to survive, since you'd have to keep shooting up or suffer from withdrawal.

Withdrawal from caffeine was bad enough. Sweating, tremors, and a 3-day migraine - can't imagine what it would be like for opiates or potions.

I'm going to go find a mod that makes stims addictive and go play FO3 again. I went a bit off-topic, but just replace "stims" with "potions" and "Fallout 3" with a game of your choice.

Aren't they apple and lemon for health and orange and pineapple for magic? Wait, I'm thinking the Tales series gels. I'd think HP potions taste like medicine, since it helps with physical injuries. Mana on the other hand would probably have to restore the spirit more then anything. Since magic requires mental clarity more then physical, I'd imagen it to be more like a tranqulizer than a stimulant. What about Elixers?

I always imagined health potions tasted like a thick, cherry milkshake and mana potions tasted like a refreshing sugar rush.

Health Potions taste like strawberries, Mana have a funky blue rasberry flavour!
