I've heard mixed feelings about the country but i'd just like an honest opinion as to what everyone thinks about it.

As a kiwi I think their a bunch of criminals, in all seriousness Australia is alot like NZ. Just better beaches, weather, jobs and millions of other things, but I'll stick with this shoebox for now.

Swede here.
I used to watch Border Security a lot, and I fear getting anywhere near your country. You'd totally just send me back home and ban me from returning for three years!
Overall; love your dialect, hate your insects.

Really? How bizarre, I'm Australian and I love hearing Swedish people talk. Maybe the Swedish and Australian accents contrast particularly strongly, like the colours orange and blue.

OT: Obviously I can't contribute, because I'm Australian. My dad was a Kiwi, and he must have liked it enough because he moved here and fathered two sons.

The average American probably thinks of it as a vacation destination, sadly.

I think of it as just another country I can't make an informed decision about, but on the whole I imagine is a swell place- other than the bugs.

We are pretty awesome.
What with our dangerous animals and such. Toughens you up for other things.

In truth, I really love my country =D It makes me happy.

It's a shame the escapist can't allow upside font... I tried... I tried...

It's a deadly nightmarish location where nature is out to get you. 7 of the most deadly anything is within striking distance of you at any moment. Damn near the hottest place on Earth where temperatures can reach nigh 100 degrees Celsius. It is 90% desert. 10% murder. If there is a portal to Hell, it is mostly likely in Australia. And what the fuck is up with the platypus? God was smoking some good shit when he made that chimera.

Well, that's how Cracked would have you think.

Nah. Seriously Australia seems like a cool place to visit. Lots of great beaches and places to see. I was also surprised to learn that it's one of the few countries that really supports the United States. Honestly, you don't hear much from the country. I'd love to visit, I'd just have to avoid the demon spiders.

Also, you guys need a 18+ rating.

As a brit who longs to emigrate, I'm pretty certain Australia is heaven in earthly form. The girls, the animals, the weather, the accents, its brilliant.

Course, I may not be 100% accurate, but you can never kill my dream!

It's really hot....

And the spiders are really big....
and these are the two main reasons that i'm moving to a cooler climate when i can
also it's the smaller spiders you have to watch out for.
excluding jellyfish, snakes, blisteringly hot aside from the above it's a quiet nice place to live

It's big, with a large rock, large spiders, and just large stuff.
And its hot.
