What do ye fellow escapists think about guys and long hair?

I used to have hair down to my chest, but recently cut it all off into the hair you see in my avatar.
People say I look better, but I do miss my long hair. Oh well, it'll grow back.

I suppose I have no right to intrude on what a person prefers as a hairstyle but that dousent mean I cant state my own opinions to myself. I know a guy who has long hair, he is in no ways homo but the way he fixes it every now and again it makes me slap my hand to my mouth in fear of what I was about to say
Whatever looks right on someone. Theres people that look good with long hair, and others that don´t. Also, THERE ARE SOME DUDES THAT LOOK LIKE FAGS!!1
I had a brief stint in the ROTC which left me with a penchant for short hair. However, I have nothing against long hair. Its just that some people can pull off the look, while others can't.
I have long hair, so I speak in defence of it, at least when you're an old fashioned rock guitarist you can get away with it.
I had long hair and I know people who have long hair, it doesn't really bother me so long as it's not too feminine.
Mines down to the middle of my back.

EDIT: Just remembered something that George Carlin said about guys with really short hair/no hair
'Here's another group who oughta be strapped to a gurney and castrated with fishing knives.
White guys who shave their heads; they're gonna try to turn it into a macho statement - you look like a repulsive testicle; you wanna be bald - do what I did; wait a while!'

it's like all other ways of wearing one's hair: it depends. Some women can pull off short hair very well while others cannot. Some women with long hair look like they are drawn and weighted by it while it makes others look more classy. Guys are the same way. Sometimes, long hair can be pulled off while other times it can't. It's all about the shape of the face and the hair type coinciding with that shape.
I have long thick slightly curly dark brown hair, its alittle pasted my shoulders, i love it, and this girl(why does she always come up when i talk?) she likes it, she said if i had short hair she would hate me. And i plan on letting it grow for a long time. I'm just glad my hair left the mullet stage.
How long is long? I have dreadlocks down to my shoulders, so it's actually down to my back if you were to un-dread it.
I used to have fairly long hair, shoulder length at its longest and it was alright. Then one day I just went to the barbers and went "Do whatever you like", she seemed kinda stunned but did a good job and managed to style it towards how I would have short hair. and I kinda prefer it short as I can do more with it.
