Every time I go to the movies I save my ticket stubs. I have been doing this since 1997. So yeah got a nice envelope full of them.

Metcards and bottlecaps.
Metcards are these things:
that we in Australia use to catch public transport. These I collect to show how long/how many times I've caught the bus. I'm up to 17 or 18 now.
Bottlecaps, for any discerning Fallout fan, are for the impending nuclear apocalypse that I will definitely survive.

I have a very small pile of LP's and CD's up in my wardrobe. I like records and CD's although I don't really go out of my way to get them. The art's so big and they're so awesome-looking and you don't need electricity to listen to them, which fascinates me. If you have scratched vinyl ones or ones that suck you can microwave them on top of a bowl, and then quickly form it into a shape of a bowl. I use my record bowl as a convenient place to put my collection of little things that have no place and that I cbf disposing of, like a golf ball I found, little old notes from friends, those plastic things from bon bons, or a half eaten packet of cough lollies or a lego piece. It looks quite colourful and interesting but it's almost overflowing now.

Oh yes, and I collect books (mostly second hand, cheap). I feel guilty for hoarding them without reading them, though.

I'm also tempted to buy retro clothes I'll probably never wear. I have a bag of old clothes I plan on cutting apart or painting on or something like that. I'm tempted to buy lots of junk, but I don't want to get too attached to items, and I only have so much room. Surely there's a creative use for everything.

The Gnome King said:
I think you can definitely collect clothes - I've dated women who collect way, way more shoes than they will ever need.
Yuck, shoes. I have to sort through massive donations of those and throw so many out because I can't find their match or they're too worn and people are so fussy they won't wear them again. They're the worst because they're mostly plasticy and you can't recycle them as easily (or at all?) and styles go out of fashion so quickly.

So since you guys are probably the experts are there any really good unknown uses for the Undamaged garden gnomes in Fallout 3? Had I designed that game I know I would have used them for some sort of secret. I mean, they're gnomes, how could you NOT?

Kidding aside, we have someone here in town with quite the gnome menagerie in their yard too. I wonder if that continues on in their house.

I collect cards from a now-dead game that I'm trying to resurrect called the VS. system. So I suppose I collect a certain form of art, although I really just enjoy the game much more than the art. Some of it is spectacular some of it is also of the "wow they just took the day off then?" variety. I only collect through the 14th expansion though after which the quality of the games balance was thrown straight out of the window in order to play test ideas for a different game. For me any cards made after the 14th expansion are kinda' like Highlander 2.

WHAT Highlander 2??

I used to collect things. Trinkets, knicknacks, shiny stones, coins (I still collect coins), promo swag...

Now I collect Pokemon. I can have as big a collection as I want and it doesn't take up any more physical space or collect nearly as much dust.

I collect video games and systems, never traded in a game in my life. I got all systems dating back to the nes(no virtual boy though) excluding a couple sega consoles I couldn't get my hands on yet.

My dad however, collects chicken statues...

I used to collect Pokemon cards, Pogs, Keyrings of stuff and Gundam models. I pretty much stop doing collecting once I had mature although for Gundam models I can't afford it anymore.

Pokemon. I am one of those weird people who actually try to catch them all. Collected all in Pokemon Blue and I got close in Crystal and Emerald.

Some how I've managed to come into possession of a bunch of pens. Oddest thing is, they aren't mine!
