Geek stuff from games and movies I like. Statues, figurines, A LOT of posters. I also have a lot of books. Mostly Fantasy, True Crime, and Historical Fiction. I keep every book I buy.

Frog stuff; statues, figurines, and what not. I also get them as gifts since it's my favorite animal.

Magnets. Every place I go that is new (it doesn't even matter if the place is in the same state) - I'll get a magnet and put it on the refrigerator when I get home. My husband also goes on trips for work and brings me back magnets from wherever they sent him. I await my Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada magnet.
Oh my god, is that you Grandma?
I've followed you to make sure you are keeping out of trouble. Now let me pinch your cheeks!

I used to collect trading cards (first Pokemon, then Yu-Gi-Oh). I might start a Magic the Gathering collection.

Pokémon. And the souls of the damned.

I seriously don't have many collections. I used to collect gaming books, but they got destroyed in a fire and it's too expensive to replace them.

I want to collect gargoyles.

With how often I use it,Doom the Boardgame may classify as something I bought for the collection value.Nobody ever comes over, and when I get people to play,we can never manage to finish our game.
I have that issue with Axis & Allies. Just had to have it, tried to play maybe 3 games? Never finished one of them.

OT: Everything seems to accumulate as if it were some manner of collectible. Somehow I've managed to keep a pile of books (about half are my old college textbooks, still relevant to my profession) and a small group of movies that I like. Oh, also I have a crate of vinyl records which are in the process of losing their sentimental value for me.

My current girlfriend is a TOTAL FANGIRL. (not that there is anything wrong with that) She collects absolutely anything related to her fandom. When I see her stuff, I come home and think:
"Man, why do I keep all this crap??"

Edit: if you guys collected money, why do you keep trading it for silly things like food?

I collect special editions of video games, movies and books. I don't buy a whole lot of them since they're so expensive, but I love having them and I always arrange them on my shelves to show them off.

Cuddly bats.

I have been accused of collecting computers, but that's just because I don't like throwing them out unless there is absolutely no way I can make them boot up, meaning I currently own four desktops, three laptops and two netbooks.

Robots and helmets. Mostly robots. I like robots. Robots are cool. I wanted to be a robot when I was young but now I just want robot arms.

And helmets 'cause helmets are cool. People wear helmets to protect their heads and the head is a pretty important part of the human body. If I didn't have a head I'd probably be dead or something, and a lot more people would probably also be dead if they didn't have helmets. Helmets are so useful.

Oddly enough, I collect the fake cards you get in credit card offers.
The cardboard ones are lame, but sometimes I find plastic ones.
Wow, I'm weird.

Yeah I think that's the lot.

I used to collect swords and armor, but now I collect guns.

The pride of my collection(based on age and simply how different it is to everything else) is a C96 Mauser "Broomhandle" in 7.63mm Mauser from between 1915 to 1922. It is definitely something I bought just to have because with the money I paid for it I could have gotten something much nicer and more reliable.

It doesn't work properly anymore and I don't have the money to fix it right now, but I was damn fun to shoot especially with the stock mounted on it. Unfortunately it is a cheap Chinese piece of crap that wasn't built right(the stock I mean).

edit: I also collect all the ticket stubs and wrist bands from concerts.
