Tough it up. I'm hardly ever allowed to stay home when I'm sick.
I've had to do pretty big tests half unconscious.
Yeah that would be nice, but I can barely walk and when I stand up I get really dizzy.

I've been sitting in bed for the past four days with a 102 fever, sore throat, headache, and just started today diarrhea. Also in this time frame I've barely slept or ate.

I've been catching up backlog on Netflix Instant Queue and some comics I've yet to read. Oh and of course, trying real hard to get some rest.

So fellow Escapists, what's your favorite activity to do when sick?
I mostly lay around the living room, watch shitty TV, and play 8x as many video games as I normally do.

The last time I got sick I sat in the living room all day and played Portal 2. The puzzles didn't help my woozy stomach...

Sleep for an extra 5 hours, continue to play video games. It's not that hard to figure out why this formula doesn't make me feel better.

Unless there's vomit, because that's a different story...

Keep living my life as I would normally. One of the very few ways I try to prove my manhood is by working through the sickness. Fuck you, illness, you will not beat me.

Wow, another one, eh? I never miss school or work even if I'm sick unless I am throwing up. I've been at school while being so sick that the teachers started asking me if I wanted to go home, and I said I would go home if I got sicker. I did not so I kept through the week until I was well. I don't work out when I am sick however and I did miss a lecture once because I was carried away in an ambulance, but I did show up for the next lecture.
I have a higher tolerance to fever than average I think, so that's helpful. I also become unable to sleep very well so I just do what I would normally do. I envy my mom who can get sick, sleep for 2 days and wake up as good as ever.

Sleep a lot, drink plenty of water, then use it as an excuse to eat junk food...

Lie in bed, or sit in a really comfortable chair, play videogames, drink plenty of water and orange juice, have some chicken noodle soup/plain chicken soup, then watch Law & Order: Criminal intent episodes in one sitting. The last time I was sick, I managed to watch the entirety of the first two seasons, never was been sick so fun :)

If I feel I can still get around, unless I am contagious, I will probably get up and carry my day as normal.

Whenever I am sick enough to warrent some time off I pretty much always do the same thing, crank up the heater, lie in front of the TV and watch a massive marathon of something until I'm too tired to stay awake any more :D works every time

When it keeps me in bed I usually play games that I'm familiar with or that I've yet to finish. The last time I was that ill I managed to finish Tomb Raider: Chronicles, which I'd previously given up on for dying over and over.

If it's one of those times that make it painful to view bright images or hear sharp / loud sounds I just watch an easy-going dvd series.

It depends on how sick I feel.
Just a little: I continue my daily routine (work etc.)
moderately ill (or infectious): call in sick, then spend the day reading, watching TV, or gaming while keeping warm
really ill: sleep (or at least remain in bed). I sleep up to 20 hours per day if I am really sick, and then can't stand TV or even read.
