I'm the weird one who doesn't really have a method of calming myself down, I just keep reading creepypastas until I no longer care that there might be a demonic serial killer outside my bedroom door.
Well, someone has never even touched Katawa Shoujo or you would never ask me that question. Just... Trust me, cuteness, proper real 100% cuteness is far more than skin deep.Lilani said:I'm sorry, but you find a girl whose face is half-covered in grotesque scarring to be cute because...?The Wykydtron said:All power to Cuteness Drives:

Agreed. Hanako's entire arc was the most meaningful to me. Especially getting her good ending. I was so conflicted at the choice you have that either leads to the good ending or the horrifically bad ending for her and i was thinking to myself "Why do i care so much?!" But her arc made me think the most and i was genuinely happy about the ending i got.The Wykydtron said:Well, someone has never even touched Katawa Shoujo or you would never ask me that question. It's hard to explain but I find Hanako cute because underneath all that scarring she's got an adorable character. The entire thing with the game is that everyone has disabilities and they're undeniably there but they're never the focus you understand? I look at Hanako and I don't just see a girl with scars, I look at Hanako and see Hanako.
I recommend you (and hey, everyone else here too) play it, even if you can't get over the bacon (shame on you!) and pick someone else's route. It's freaking awesome.
The genius behind Katawa Shoujo is that it somehow manages to be incredibly clever, thought-provoking and very, very tasteful considering what absolute controversy bait the game's premise is.
Hanako's route is the one most focused on her disability (for obvious reasons) and even then it's never focused on the scars themselves. It's all about her trying to deal with the massive psychological damage that she was left with and even more importantly how Hisao (your main character) goes about dealing with her.
There it is again. What does that mean, "creepypasta"? Is that really a thing?leviathanmisha said:I'm the weird one who doesn't really have a method of calming myself down, I just keep reading creepypastas until I no longer care that there might be a demonic serial killer outside my bedroom door.
Horror stories or pictures that people post for a quick thrill, usually coming from other people than the poster(pasta as in paste, from copy paste) as far as I know. I've never looked up any definitions.Mossberg Shotty said:There it is again. What does that mean, "creepypasta"? OT: Whenever I get into a creeped out kinda mood, I don't try to escape it, I just embrace it. Usually by reading Lovecraft or something.
Wow, I don't know how I've never stumbled upon this thread before, it's simply brilliant!DanielBrown said:Snip
Lawl, I use J-Dog as my avatar, and he isn't scary unless you're afraid of sick rhymes. Not G. Ivingname said:<_<
You have that avatar, but no idea what creepypasta is?
Alright...
Creepypasta is basically psychological horror on the internet. Websites, images, videos, whatever, meant to slowly creep you out till your crying for mommy. Often inspired the work of Lovecraft. The good ones will set you in a mindset, desperately filling in the blanks, scaring yourself far more than anyone else can.
A few major ones include Slenderman (his presence on the internet predates that game) and the SCP Foundation.
Besides the above mentioned SCP, I do not dive to deeply in any of them, because I actually want to sleep at night.
I know 2 people already answered you, but you can find more in depth info and read some of the more famous creepy pastas here: http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/creepypastaMossberg Shotty said:There it is again. What does that mean, "creepypasta"? Is that really a thing?

I love Lovecraft, I think I'm gonna browse this thread a bit. But you didn't provide a link like the other guy did. You've failed me!
Forgive me for the sin of double-post.
