What do you do when you're bored?

Well I come here usually if I get bored of video games, or the opposite. Me watching Tv is very rare these days due to the amount of crap on television. And the News just repeats itself after 25 minutes. Or I wander, check the fridge knowing nothings in there, or annoy my dog.

usually spend more time thinking about what i could be doing but then realize that thinking about it puts me off from doing it because it just makes what I was going to do boring...then it starts the cycle over.

It depends on how much time I have.

Less than 1 hour: Go here.

More than 1 hour and at home: Games.

More than 1 hour and at school: TVTropes.

Play the piano, build some crap with Lego, collect stuff from Freecycle, read (speculative fiction etc), write (VERY speculative fiction), and natch, play videogames. Lately I've been dipping in and out of TF2, Splinter Cell, Just Cause 2, Time Crisis 3, Crash Bandicoot Tag Team Racing and some other racing games, and Minecraft/Terraria.

And re-read my writing. Come up with new ideas and scribble away, but then once that starts, I'm not bored any longer...

It depends. Most of the time I'll play some games. If they get tiresome I'll browse the net, post here and watch some of the videos that pile up in my sub box.

Sometimes I write, but I tend only to do so when my mind is made up about the various plot points and other, less important details. If there's any ambiguity I'll think about it while I do other things.

Sometimes play games. Then there are times I'm just flat out depressed and games don't exactly cheer me up. Trying too hard by watching something I really enjoy just makes me bitter. Sometimes just sleep or doing something with very low expectations can lift that feeling enough to actually enjoy whatever I do afterwards.

Anime. Netflix if you have it. Nostalgia critic, Linkara, Big Picture, soul calibur tutorial. (If I'm bored anyway I might as well actually learn all those moves I never use.)
And recently League of Legends. No time to be bored. If I don't keep focused I will lose ... unless I'm just going to lose anyway, nothing I can do about that.

I will sometimes run through cross-over fanfictions of SWTCW in the Gears of War universe. Where General Grievous would have a dual with Skorge or Ahsoka has to deal with a berserker, things of that nature. The only problem is I am too lazy to go to a fanfiction site and write it all down. If anyone here writes fanfiction, what do you usually do to get started writing something?

I'm printing off some My Little Pony coloring pages right now to work on at school when I'm bored, so that?
I also read, play games, watch TV, watch the rain (Virginia is having weird-ass weather right now), or harass friends via the internet.
There's a lot of stuff to do.

Once reddit links have turned purple, I've checked out every remotely interesting thread on the escapist and started on a post and left it half written and unposted, idk... What does it even mean to be bored if boredom is when we do things we like? Boredom is more frustration.

Sometimes if I'm doing something boring that I don't want to do, I change my handwriting or imagine I'm reading in a different accent, look at the clock all the time...

Haven't messed with my legos in a long time but I used to when I was bored. I either jack off, come here, watch tv, play games, eat, think about an idea for a book I could but won't write. It really depends on where I am and how I'm feeling.

I just fiddle with electronic devices in my phone. Otherwise I quickly go insane.

I eat lots of pizza and pies, drink a litre and a half of tea or coffee, speculate over the reason why I am slightly over weight, then fall asleep for an hour.
If I don't have any food and I have run out of tea/coffee (which is a far too common occurance) I stare blankly at my games wondering which one I haven't over played in a while, then I usualy get bored and get drunk.

If all else fails I watch Drawn Together or Futurama.
