What do you do while you game?

Well, I don't do very much since:
A. Both my hands are busy,

and
B. I can't multitask that well while playing games. I "turn off" interaction with the real world to a certain point so I don't do homework, work out or try to disprove E=mc[squared] while mowing down enemies in Killzone 2.

HOW DID YOU KNOW THAT?! If you know that then you must know what else i while playing video games... that only takes one hand.*wink*

I can honestly say I uh... game...

If some friends are online I'll party it up on Xbox Live. I sometimes put some music on when I'm playing Guild Wars.
But other than that I can't say I do anything "unusual"

Off Topic: I really hate it when people listen to music on games with an open mic. Sure you can mute them while in game but in the lobby you have to listen to their crappy music.

I do like listening to music myself while gaming, actually, but I'd never do it on open mic. As it happens, if I'm on open mic then it's because I want to hear what people are saying and talk tactics and so on with my team, so music isn't going to help. Of course, this only applies on XBL which I don't have yet but should be able to get over the summer. Plus my Xbox is back home so I'm stuck with my mic-less laptop, which also I can't listen to music on when gaming anyway as I can't have a music CD on while there's a game disc in there as well...

Blowing peoples brains out in just about any other game - Similiar music, just more emphasis on loud, and less on fast.

Maybe music if there's nobody else involved. As soon as mic is required, I don't think it's fair for somebody to have to put up with my tastes.
Aside from that, I don't have the concentration to actually do something else while gaming...distractions are bad

Switch off the lights. Maybe have a few beers. Smoke (a lot if it's a Metal Gear ) and occasionally listen to music (many is the night I have played Burnout Paradise along to some hardcore punk or deathcore).

Listen to music on my iPod so nobody gets annoyed(try it sometime, idiot - you know who you are), talking/rambling on/pissing off my teammates, maybe drinking water so I don't die. Y'know - just the basics.

I prefer to avoid being distracted. I'm all for immersion.
Occasionally I'll crank up some Disturbed or Black Tide if zombie killing is involved, though. That is, if the game's music doesn't already suffice.

I NORMALLY have the TV on or listen to music. Sometimes both. And on certain occasions I'm getting head from my girlfriend

Ask my mom to close my door because it really is distracting having my door open while I game. Keep looking out to see if something is going on.
