Most of us here will be aware of the consequences of drinking more than a little alcohol on an evening, and they can hardly be seen in a positive light.
That said, there are some things I really enjoy about being hungover. To name a few;
The communal reminiscence: when you get together with your friends, who are all likely as wretched as you are, and discuss the funny things you got up to with thick, pasty voices and groggy eyes. Lots of laughs to be had there!
The feeling when you finally eat some greasy meal: alcohol lowers your blood sugar, making your stomach a bottomless pit the morning after. When you finally fill it, though, it feels 10x better than before.
Getting into bed the night after: after a long day of doing nothing and feeling awful, the moment you climb into bed feels so glorious and comfortable, with the prospect that the god-awful feeling will be gone in the morning
So, there's a few things I enjoy about being hungover - obviously glossing over the terrible parts - but what about The Escapist?
