Seriously Half Life 2's loading times feel like they take an eternity to complete. What do you guys do to pass the time?

Play another game. seriously my pc is so crappy, it used to take a millenia to load, so I'd literally start up a game of Mechwarrior 4 Mercenaries and finish an entire campaign mission on my sister's laptop in the space it took to load.
Go fight the numerous bears that wander the Canadian landscape. I usually get back before it's done too.
I learnt from back in my Morrowind days on a shit computer to have a book by the desk, something I could a few pages or chapters if necessary to pass the time.
