Tom Clancy game, auto-fail. I have hopes for Hawx tho.
So it's not an auto fail then? But wait - it's Tom Clancy's! Therefore it MUST be an auto fail. If you're gong to be inconsistent, at least do it over a number of posts.

The voice commend interface was as close to flawless as I've ever seen in a voice controlled game, but there wasn't NEARLY enough unit/mission variety to carry an entire game.

It`s not a bad game the single player is broken and repetitive but the multiplayer`s alright the global war mode is an inspired choice

Have you played a Tom Clancy game pre-ubisoft?
Does that even exist?
Yes, the rainbow 6 series goes wayyyyyyyyyyyy back. You can find a demo for one of the early games on the 'net still
But still without Ubisoft there wouldnt be Splinter Cell, Vegas, etc.
With out Ubisoft, Tom Clancy would get customer support, rather sacrafice those games for customer support.

yes i played the first R6, on the playstation. I guess i was too young, but the 10 dollar price on it was too tempting, so i spent my two weeks of lunch money on it, and the gameplay was outright horrible. I still remember the mission on the pirate ship amusement park....

Bah I don't really care about that if it's not an MMO or competitive multiplayer. You only need to post on their forums about bugs and such and they answer through the mods. Patches get done, etc.
That is customer support, and Ubisoft dont do it. The guys that made Empire:total war, released 2 or 3 patches on the release week. Where as ubi havent released on patch for WndWar yet, and only one proper patch for the higly buggy, and now almost abandoned R6V2

I love endwar and play most nights. I love the almost RPG element of upgrading your squads and then getting them promoted as well as the ToW multiplayer campaign. You get attatched to your units in a way thats not posible in say warcraft. Its a great take on strategy games.

The rock paper scissor thing seems really simple but theres plenty of depth when youre sending out mixed forces or get your infantry in cover etc. Plus its impossible to spam one unit.

Im also glad to be rid of resource management (almost, theres still command points) plus base destruction was a chore. Why dont troops carry demo charges for that sort of thing? If I made a traditional RTS all infantry would be able to demo buildings. Much better.

The fixed unit camera is also a good thing, it means you have to scout out the map, without the need for silly looking Fog. If the other team wants to find you they have to come and look for you and risk getting shot up.

I'm going to be honest and say that, at first I was really looking forward to it. Then I thought about it a bit more, decided not to buy it. Sounds like a good choice after a lot of people telling me that the game is crap and that they have hated playing it. Altough I think the idea of the game was quite a good idea.
