I live in the greatest state in the greatest country in the world. Washington State, a wonderful medium sized state in the Great Pacific Northwest. You won't find a more peaceful interesting, and polite people anywhere (except possibly in Oregon, but they are only pretending cause the hippies there want to sucker you into joining there communes). We are pretty much the Timber and Apple capital of the US.

What do I hate right now? I hate that well over half the population lives in the Seattle Tacoma area, and that the current state goverment doesn't seem to give a rip about anyone outside the area. There spending seems to be directed only at population centers, and they seem intent on regulating and taxing everyone out of the more rural areas. They have even gone after several people for having roof top rain collection systems. It's not like we have a shortage of rain here.

I live in Tennessee.

If you can't guess, it's full of redneck idiots, bigotry, racism, sexism, religious zealots and some of the dumbest and most intolerant people you'll ever meet.

It's kinda pretty down here though.
Tennessee, pretty? Really? It was all hills and scrubby little trees when I passed through.

I kid, it was pretty nice. I mean it wasn't in any way as nice as Washington, but you could do a lot worse.

Country
Love: the great music scene, past and present. The history of freedom and tolerance. The relative lack of political extremism.

Hate: the tawdry tabloid press, the greyness of everything, overly PC.

Town
Love: idyllic countryside on one side, big city 10 miles on the other side.

Hate: not much in the town itself. We have a Tesco and a Waitrose!

Never been to Washington state, but I've been to DC and I thought that was beautiful ^-^

Tennessee isn't....too bad, it's just not really that great :/

I'd love to move somewhere else though and I plan on doing so when I get the money.

Hate: It's a dead-ender town, if you're born here you are most likely to die here.

Love: I wasn't born here.

I'm in San Diego, California. The weather's awesome here. I'm comfortably wearing shorts right now, and that probably won't change until some time after October.

What do I hate? Not much. The only things that spring to mind are the noisy parties around the block and the drunken idiots crashing into parked cars on my street.

I live in Illinois.
What I hate is that the majority of people around where I live annoy me. When I was in high school the majority of people in my classes just annoyed the hell out of me with how they acted, and it's no better in college.
What I love is that I live within walking distance of a rather large arcade as well as a music shop that sells old CDs, records, guitars, amps, etc. There's also an awesome pizzeria a few blocks away from me, and overall it's rather peaceful where I live.

I live in a small town that almost always rains, or is too dang hot and is slowly crumbling in on itself (financially) and is BORING!! Yeah, I don't really like my town.

Edit: I forgot, I love the smallness on occasions because it's easy to know everyone, and who to avoid.

Its a suberb but not too close to the city, very nice all year round, but sometimes winter kinda gets ruined due to all of the slush that we get from traffic running over the snow, only real problem is the lack of anything special, usually i call this place a dump, but i have found a new appreciation for my town

About an hour outside of Sydney.

Hate
The stupids.
Also, the people that wear clothing that really doesn't fit them. It's not a pretty site going into the local shopping center and seeing 100+ kg girls wearing crop tops and tight shorts. Fuck me, wear frigging clothing that fits properly damn it.

Love
Local fast food joint makes an excellent chicken schnitzel with chips and gravy. That and the place I live at has easy access to a huge variety of shops carrying stuff I'm interested in.

Love: It's where my home is. I love my home. 'Nuff said.

Hate: Absolutely no fucking jobs. Anywhere. Not even entry level.

I like the weather (cool, overcast, and not too warm), but I hate the people here (religious, unambitious, nosy).

I live on an island about an hours north of Brisbane, Australia.

I love and hate the same thing about this place. Its quiet and theres nothing to do. Granted, I'm spending more and more time in Brisbane, so when I wanna relax and escape I come home and chill. Unfortunetly a lot of my friends don't have a girlfriends house in the city to stay at, so you get most of the highschool students bitching about how there isn't anything to do here. The movie theatre is pretty lame, the nightlife doesn't exist and the surf is shit. I kinda wish there was a bit more to do so people would shut the hell up.

I both love, and hate the quiet.

I also hate the pub.

I got dragged there by a friend who reluctantly agreed to meet an old friend. I drove because I didn't want to drink and as soon as we got out of my car he got out of his holding a tallie of JD and Coke. He then finished the bottle off and threw it away. He stumbled past the door man and ordered up another drink. The rest of the night was me hating myself for being there and this guy being a complete tool. I wore my black high top cons, which have a cat drawn on the white bit of the toe. This guy poured beer on my shoe and yelled "Hahah I got your pussy wet." I left shortly after that.

I live in Utah. I HATE it here.

Hate: The People. Utahns are batshit assholes. And if anyone thinks I'm pointing fingers at the Mormons, while I have some problems with them I'm actually talking about the REST of the Utahns. West Valley might as well call themselves "Rapeville, USA." Thanks to them we have the highest count of rape of any state in the US and propelled the rest of the country to have the highest count in the entire world. Fun. There are violent homeless everywhere, a sub-culture of Emos that think it's best not to hurt themselves but hurt others to convince them their lives are miserable. I could go on for hours but I don't need to.

Love: The Desert. The Desert is awesome. There's so much mystery out there and it is also my personal favourite habitat. My wife & I go out to the desert all the time and visit ghost tons or search for strange things. Especially inbetween our desert and the neighbouring Nevadan desert, things get really strange around the borders. I love the desert.

I live in Glasgow. I love the city centre, the fact that I grew up here, the amazing gig venues, the great alt club scene (Classic Grand FTW), love all my friends here, and lots more.

The only things I really hate are the neds (replace with chav / mutant / whatever), and the shit weather.

Love...I can shoot guns all I want, I am wayyyy outside of city limits.

Hate...Everything else, all the businesses are closing, no work, no high speed internet. Hell, I don't even have what you could call 'neighbors'
