I decided to post a second time to show some awesome bands from my country (yes, there actually is good metal to be found in Brazil, all you have to do is look for it):

I'm sure everyone here must have heard of Sepultura. They're pretty well-known. And good (coming from someone who isn't a massive metal fan.)

As for the other two bands...Definitely not my thing I'm afraid. I grew out of Power Metal years and years and years ago so Angra doesn't tickle my fancy. And Shadowside is simply the type of metal that I sincerely dislike . But as I said, Sepultura are pretty awesome.

Lamb of God, As I Lay Dying, Beneath The Sky, Cannibal Corpse, Unearth, Amon Amarth, The Agonist. I could go on this tangent for a long time. But, Walk With Me In Hell is my absolute favorite song.

Cannibal Corpse and The Agonist are awesome as well.

Well, I guess for more "serious" Japanese headbanging stuff I like, there's these bands:

Yeah, I really like Dir En Grey... I like their constant change of sound for each album although I'm not a fan of their most recent one....

EDIT: and I have to admit, I prefer Maximum the Hormone to Venom and that other band whose name I have already forgotten. I dislike The whole visual kei movement/scene or whatever you wish to call it but Dir En Grey are good...for me, it shows that they've matured, having come away from their original flashy and kinda camp style.
