Lots of things... when I lived on the sea front at uni I liked to jam with my band mates, eat pizza, drink and have fun round a fire, surf, admire the art history students tanning.
:O I have a beach at my Uni too!

It's not very inviting this time of year though, doubly so because it's the Welsh coast :S But when it is, we usually just lounge around there and eat kebabs, and admire the waves...

I'm gonna beat you to it: 'Oh snap!' (yes, I went to UWA!)

This must be like some sort of a UWA mini community.

Darn, now I have to go into hiding for fear of ever being recognised.

My favorite beach activity is getting in the car, and leaving the beach. Preferably going to a beach front burger joint. Watching the beach and the water? That's cool. Being on the beach? The hell with that.
This plus going to an arcade and looking at girls I'd never have a chance with.

Lie down. Then after two hours, go away, because I hate the sun, I always burn and my head hurts (high blood pressure) after being exposed for too much.

But I like lying on my balcony during the summer, with an umbrella over my head, playing on GBA or DS. Perfect relax, if you ask me.

Once upon a time I loved the sea and I felt that it loved me. Then I caught up in tsunami in Asia and since then I've had a bit of a fear and grudging respect for the ocean. I used to love spending time close to the sea it used to soothe me.

Now it has a habit of bring back memories that are decidedly not relaxing. So I if I do find myself by the sea I tend to throw stones at it or alternatively find a chair next to a beer vendor and get very comfortably inebriated.

Go into the water, make a humongous sand castle, then get my half hour of peace by lying on the dry warm sand (If it isn't hot)

I'm afraid I don't understand the question. What is... beach?

This statement - and perhaps question - should suffice.

I like to go home. I hate the beach. The water is gross, the sand sticks to your skin, there are cigarette butts everywhere. I hate the beach.

As someone whos live beside a beach their whole life i dont understand the love of the beach at all. Why would you go somewhere that'll get sand everywhere for fucking days and on top of that the water is salty, green and full of crabs. With that many disadvantages why just why.

Dig holes. Every single time I go to the beach, as soon as the towels are down, I drop down onto my knees and start tearing away at the sand. I refuse to leave until I've dug down far enough to put myself in danger of falling in head-first.

Ah, god... that's even worse. That means we were there at the same time, I left in 2004. If you were art history on behalf of comp sci I apologise for staring.
