I don't look for anything in women and the one I'm in love with, we found each other blindly, honestly all I want is a woman I can fall in love with because everything she does makes me happy, especially the things I've never thought about looking at. Thank God I found her. Really the best thing to look for in general is someone who will make you realize everything that you were looking for was less than half of a percentage of what she has to offer, so in the end maybe having these things we like "looking for" really just narrow down our chances of finding the one who will amaze us. Come on escapists, keep an open mind and an open heart! :D
P.S. I feel like I just gave one of these http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AnAesop but it's how I actually feel, you can't quite get swept off your feet if you've covered them in cement

The ability to listen to what I have to say and give me her own input, I don't care if our opinions differ, in fact that might be better since it would give us something to do if we can argue about it.
In a girlfriend she can't have completely let her looks go and at the same time she can't be all about looks, for example, a girl who weighs 210 pounds and is covered in gross is a bit beyond my ability to ignore, however, a girl who weighs 100 pounds, spends two hours a day in the bathroom and spends all of her money on clothing feels a bit to shallow and I could never really get into her.
She also has to either have some sort of hobby I can easily get into without turning my life upside down, or be able to get into one of my hobbies such as playing cards (any cards I don't really care what) or video games. I gotta have something to talk to her about in other words... If she plays WoW and we can exchange WoW stories awesome but I would much prefer if we could do something together like Halo or Black ops or star craft...
If she was some sort of artist or had some particular skill she could help teach me that would be great to.

Crazy. Not necessarily any specific kind of crazy (well, maybe not some kinds of actual, medical crazy. We'll take those on a case-by-case basis). Just someone whose personality is offbeat and weird.

No, no, no, you're supposed to say "a penis". Pay attention!

I never thought of this. Would be a plus if she is open to it.

Honestly, so long as she's not dog-ugly or morbidly obese, I'll find just about any girl attractive. The problem is, I find there are two distinct types of attractive, fuckable, and loveable.

The fuckable type is your stereotypical prissy valleygirl ***** who thinks she's better than everyone else and couldn't be more wrong if she said the sky was red. Uncaring, vindictive and with an intellect comparable to a cow.

The lovable type is cute, sweet, and above all else, INTELLIGENT. It also greatly helps if she shares an interest with me in various nerdy things.

Sadly, the area I live in has a serious shortage of the lovable type. What few there are already have boyfriends.

My words are a matter of pride.
It's clear from your vacant expression
that the lights aren't all on upstairs.
But we're talking kings and successions!
Even you can't be caught unawares!

Sense of humor...And by sense of humor I mean even the slightest ability to laugh at some of the things I laugh at...

besides that, as long as she has a nice set of legs and can withstand my raunchy rude humor and possibly throw it back every once in a while, i'll probably be in love, nuff said

if only i could open conversations like a champ, i might actually find her, until then only get to stare at from a distance =\

Being very different to me... usually non geeky but with an open mind.

it makes life more interesting if we have more to talk about for the few weeks the thing exists.

also sexually minded very sexually minded...

also the knowledge that i will get bored of it fast in terms of all aspects of the relationship and let me move on without much fuss

In a relationship of love I don't look for anything. I belive that love is affected by the individual, not the character (it's our character that possesses our qualities)
In a more physical relationship I desire someone that looks good with what they got. Long hair, short hair. Blue eyes, broen eyes. Dosen't matter, but I like it when they fit their qualities.

i hear ya.

same problem here, plenty of the less intelligent then a spoon types but very little girlsfriend material. And worst of all, once you've found one there always taken.
