What do YOU love most about the Escapist?

We have great Mods who do their jobs well, ensuring people think before they post, and care about what they say.
In fact, I've only ever seen one big troll, and he was gone within the hour.

Pretty much the people on my friends list. That's not to say that other people I talk to on a regular basis aren't part of the reason I come here, just that those on my friend list are usually the people I talk to most often.

The other thing I love most here is Zero Punctuation. Even if I disagree with him a lot of the time, Yahtzee is still a funny man.

The good shows mostly. ZP, Movie Bob, and Extra Credits all keep me coming back every week. The Community it pretty decent as well. Certainly the best I've encountered. Until I started coming here I never racked up more than 20 posts on any one site. Here I have almost 500.

But just so we don't get too full of ourselves, I think it's only fair to point out some of the problems I have.

The elitism.
The ignorant anti-American sentiment.
The "search bar", "no discussion value", "vs. threads are looked down upon" posts.
And the angst... oh the angst.

This place is far from perfect, but it's still better than most. *shudders, remembering B.net*

Well the news including the authors of each article. The reviews, and especially doomsday arcade. Along with a few other video series including Extra Credits.

But sorry I have to include it but I hate a lot of the members on the forums they are narcissistic, conceited, and pretty damn immature. Don't get me wrong though, there are a lot of really cool people here. But the bad outweigh the good.

Wow you summed up my post better then I could its right above. I agree though this place is far from perfect but much better than most places. Plus, the videos series are great. So its all good. :]

I love that the escapist gest cold when it's 71 degrees out.

I love that it takes the escapist an hour and a half to order a sandwich.

I love that the escapist gets a little crinkle above its nose when the escapist is looking at me like I'm nuts.

I love that after I spend the day with the escapist, I can still smell its perfume on my clothes.

And I love that the escapist is the last person I want to talk to before I go to sleep at night.

And it's not because I'm lonely, and it's not because it's New Year's Eve (as it isn't). I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with a website, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.


Really, just things like ZP and Extra Credits, as well as the columns and the forums. Oh and the news.
