Nothing at all. I was an awkward, insecure, shy kid back then. Now I am just an awkward adult.

Sorry, but I don't miss much about being a kid.

Time off. Man, the feeling when summer vacation came around, 10 weeks of just running around doing nothing but fun stuff. Now? Work work work.

God, I pretty much miss everything. The lack of responsibility, the easy school, the massive amount of free time, your parents doing pretty much everything for you and how your life and world just seemed sooo open ended like there were no restraints on your life and you would be able to do anything you want no matter what happened or no matter what anyone said. So baiscally if there was a way that we could all live as kids and somehow everything still worked, then I would do that in a heartbeat.

If anything, the complete lack of responsibility, and the blissful ignorance of bills that needed to be paid.

That nothing mattered

Now EVERYTHING matters - jobs bill family....

Ok I have more choices and freedom and all that, but the 'innocence' I guess and that carefreenessis long gone

I miss just being a kid really. Waking up late on weekends, watching really awesome cartoons like Courage the cowardly dog, The grim adventures of Billy and Mandy, Powerpuff girls and Dexter's lab. However, my life at the moment is pretty good. I found out this week that I am graduating with a BSc honours degree in Biochemistry and Biological chemistry and I will be looking at options to get a job as a lab technician overseas, as well as having a group of wonderful friends and surrounded by a proud and loving family. I am quite looking forward to the voyage my life is going to be taking. A little scared, but excited at the same time.

This represents everything about my childhood. Long days, things to learn, fun games, and no responsibilities.

I will always look back at my childhood as a time of blissful happiness.

Being small, I could run around and fall but not get hurt! And when you add running around blissfully ignorant and stark naked at the beach or swimming pool... ahh happy memories (except for the wasps)

Getting up early on Saturday mornings to watch cartoons. I cannot do that anymore with college on my back.

This and the fact that structure and routine was provided for me. I didn't have to worry about things like finding a job, feeding myself, transportation, paying bills, shelter, or any of that. All that stuff was taken care of for me.

Don't miss much from back then, even though I had a good time. Then again I'm in my early 20s so I might need a little more time for it to sink in.

*waits*

OH MY LIFE WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!?!?!

An economy which would let me go to the movies, buy candy and pay a cab back home, with an allowance.
Not being robbed 10 times a year, not having to fear for my life everytime I step out of home.
Propaganda free steets, not having to deal with cars honking at me and trying to hit me everytime I try crossing the street.
Talking about propaganda, I miss a bit national television, now it's all "Homeland, Socialism or Death" from crappy tv show to other.
I miss my grandma, and believe or not, I kinda miss that sound you would get everytime you tried to connect to the internet.
