In my opinion, being a kid wasn't that great. But there were some lovely things you did; I remember the way I wished for claws like the ones Wolverine has; I don't think I've ever wanted something so intensely in my entire life before or since. I miss that.

What do you miss from being a kid?

Edit: It's completely up to you what age you classify as "being a kid".

Messing about in the woods next to my house, coming up with all sorts of fantastical situations and possibilities, playing numerous games that we just made up there and then, building dens in various places about the woods and exploring every corner until we (me and my brother) knew it like the back of our hands.

Care-free and full of energy. They were great days, and I miss being able to just play simple games spontaneously, like tag or hide-and-seek. Adults are so boring.

Doing things outdoors is what I often miss, footy, cricket, cycling, all that good stuff.

But in gaming circles I miss the days without achievements/trophies. Play the game, complete it, have fun doing so, all without this need to impress each other with gamer scores.

lego
and climing trees
i can still do these things but i have no more time for lego (tear) and its frowned upon when a guy in his mid twenties hangs out in the public trees

Not knowing so much. I guess the older you are, the more freedom you have, and the less you have to rely on others to, I don't know, feed you so you don't die. But as a kid you don't have any responsibilities, no one expects anything of you, and everything is just so much easier. And for some reason I really liked roleplaying as kid. Now I can't do it without feeling an idiot. I guess not caring what others thought is something I miss too.

Playing with LEGOs without getting weird looks.
It's regarded as kinda childish to play with LEGOs apparently.
YOU NEVER GET TOO OLD FOR LEGOS!

And also, Action Men and Hot Wheels.

No responsibilities!

And playing with my action men all day long. I once stayed out a whole night in the garden, just letting imagination roam free.

Sigh, how I wish that time would come around again. Life's just been going down since then.

And todays kids are just so fucking annoying. I was happy with my lot when I was their age, but all they ever do is complain. ENJOY IT WHILE YOU CAN!!

Hell yes, Action Men!!!! They were the greatest thing ever...
I also miss being able to wear fancy dress everyday, even if it wasn't Halloween. Now it's just wierd.

Nothing.
I was such a little shit. All ingratiating and trying to please everyone.
Frankly I would rather pretend the whole period never happened.
I just sort of started existing suddenly and without warning at about sixteen, okay.

My hope for the future.

Other than that, the cartoons. Shows like Maple Town, Kissyfur, Dungeons and Dragons.
