My awesome hat. It's a black fedora-type thing. Made in Italy, and 100% cotton. The two reactions I get are either "cool hat!" or "what the fuck is with that hat?". I think the second one comes around because, as Monty Python observed, "people aren't wearing enough hats."
People wear plenty of hats. They just happen to be hats that are fashionable, unsurprisingly. Beanies, baseball caps, snapbacks *shudder* are all worn a fair amount, especially by younger generations. Hats are still a pretty big thing, I'd say. People don't wear fedoras or pork pie hats or whatever because their time in the sun has passed, and no amount of pairing them with mismatched attire will change that. Sorry if that came off as somewhat aggressive, but at least beanies etc. work as part of casual attire that is commonly worn nowadays - you can't really say the same of fedoras and their ilk, they're pretty hard to pull off unless you dress like Humphrey Bogart on a regular basis. Fair play to you though, if that is the case
This isnt a personal attack, just an observation

I have a Mk1 escort in yellow, turns a few heads its also gets more attention at these car meets then the pricks that have spent 10k+ on a car with fancy lights and shit.
And, it looks about a billion times classier! Never understood people who buy a sporty Corsa or Golf then pimp it to within an inch of its life, spending mad money in the process. At the end of the day it's still just a boring hatchback. All that money could just go on a better car, or at least one with more interest to it.
OT. Not that much, in all honesty - I'm fairly nondescript other than my gangly physique. I've got a Fred Perry harrington jacket that I love, made in England, that gets positive comments now and again but I wouldn't say it was a head-turner as such; just a nice well-made jacket...
