If there's a "rogue" option I'll lean towards it.

I prefer distance to a straight up fight, so if there's not a "rogue," then something like an archer usually.

What if I use a combo of both? Am I just a bit of a pussy/man?
No, that just makes you a pussy in denial.
Hey, I'm not in denial. If I'm a pussy, I'll admit it.

Hell, I know I'm a pussy! XD
Why am I getting turned on by this argument?!

OT: Sneaky Tank. It's hilarious. Also, it's the opposite of what I am: Barbarian Ninja

I used to always go with the equivalent of the "fighter" class until I discovered how fun being a stealth-oriented character could be in games like Oblivion.

Sneaky, ranged, engineer (science and repair), who commits genocide on those who he does not like. (Slavers, Big-town, Paradise falls, little lamplight after a mod)

I play a bi-polar, psycho chick who smiles and helps a town out, then sneak behind them and puts granades in their pants land laughs while she dances in the blood of her slaughter prey... she's working on her problem one step at a time but it's hard sometimes, ppl like to talk crap when she wants to do good. ; ;

In Oblivion, I like to play as a Stealth archer supported by some decent blade skill. It's much more elegant, and in my opinion, it makes you less cowardly. If you cock up your first shot and don't kill the guy immediately, having low armor and not the best close range skill is almost a death sentence. Much more fun to me than running in guns (sword?) blazing, knowing I cannot die.

Mine is usually some variation or hybrid of a Tank and another style, but never full Tank. I've tried a bow/sword combo in Oblivion with some decent success, with only enough magic to heal myself. I tend not to dabble in the arcane arts too much, because then it just becomes too complicated. Simpler is better as long as it gets the job done well.

i like playing a magic user or whatever is closest to one, because it always seems like they are the weakest in games, so it's kind of like playing on a harder difficulty.

FalloutJack presents...the Lone Wanderer...Jack.

(All my Fallout characters are called Jack.)

Jack likes small arms, energy weapons, and picking locks. He likes being quick on the draw, such as incinerating Mr. Burke two seconds before Sheriff Lucas can be shot. He keeps Megaton intact and sets ghouls to run amuck in Tenpenny Tower. He decided, one day, to walk into Paradise Falls and kill ALL the slavers, except for the one fix-it girl who was okay and shit. Mentos were involved. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Vr1O_FcVrM]

Jack wears a Shady Hat, all the time, and is accutely afraid of Deathclaws, especially Lobo The Wonder-Deathclaw, who can fly. He likes fighting to the music of GNR, and took the Entomologist perk because of motherfucking fire ants. You regularly see him crouch-sneaking all over the landscape for no reason. Also, since he completed the wasteland survival guide, he has the anti-molerat stick. So much fun...

All the weird things happen to our boy, Jack. Like when he stealth-killed two Enclave soldiers and the third one - with a rocket launcher - reacted to him as a friendly. Oh, and did we mention he had a vertibird? Yeah, funny thing. One of the patrols he killed failed to allow it to take off, so I'm like "Sweet!". Can't do anything with it, but it IS funny.

[HEADING=2]BACKSTAB! BACKSTAB! BACKSTAB![/HEADING]

You're dead.

OT: Yeah I'm usually the sneaky type. I just like to be able to sneak around bad guys when I don't want a fight. I like messing with people too, and you can't do that in most games with being able to hide from them. And plus, taking someone down in a couple hits is always nice too.

I like experimenting...but in Oblivion I tried a magic/fighter combo which seemed to do pretty well anywhere. The game is just too long and there's too much to explore to have to do things the patient way, and it gets frustrating fast. Similar sort of deal in Fallout.

In the 'other' style of RPG's, I prefer ranged/dual-wielding ranger type, using poisons and whatnot with high dex/cunning, whatever seems to be the rage at the time. But never really sneaky...backstabbing maybe, but only when the opportunity presents itself, so not a sneak-based character but more a fast-hitting-hard-to-hit character.

magic users, rarely, if there's a spell tree that catches my eye and is sort of unique...
