I tend to go with the silent, bespectacled, Messianic type character.

Oh wait.....wrong game.

Anyway, I'm not that fond of Oblivion or Fallout 3, so I'll just go with the RPG/grind-fest I've always (and only ever) enjoyed. Diablo 2.

I usually played either the Necromancer or the Barbarian. So...I guess you could say I go both ways? 'add cursory joke here' It always depends on my mood when it comes to what 'type' of character I play in games. Sometimes I feel like being technical and sneaky, and sometimes I feel like just jumping into the fray and bashing some heads.

I used to play stealth all the way, but lately I have gotten lazy and prefer the tanking method. Murdering everything in my path is just so much easier than sneaking around.

Given the name I doubt this... but does it make supermutants less 'the default enemy' and add more things like hostile wildlife/bigger raider gangs? I never liked how the mutants turned into total fodder from the threats they were in Fallout 1.
Yes, actually. Alot of new creates are added to the wildlife, mainly from previous Fallout games. Super Mutants are not really much better, but that might just be because I avoid Downtown DC. The outdoor world can get pretty dangerous, and this mod also adjusts the AI in a way that leads to alot of monsters killing eachother out in the wasteland. I routinely have walked into an ongoing or just finished battled between two different enemies out in the wasteland who walked too close to eachother. Also, spawning levels are higher with that mod, which also results in larger number of enemies in certain areas, and especially for humans. So... yes, bigger raider gangs. I'd say the number of monsters or otherwise hostile NPC's out in the wasteland at least doubles with MMM.

In Oblivion I was an assassin through-and-through, I could snipe anyone at any range so long as I had a general idea of where they were and there weren't obstacles on my trajectory xD I did work on my magic side a little so I could get some enchanting done too, resulting in me firing high strength bows with elements as high as 15 Fire, Ice and Lightning, xD ultimate killers against just about EVERYTHING. Add the multiplier of sneak killing a target and nothing would survive.

For Fallout it was sort of similar, but I mixed in close quarters combat specializations (such as powering up my small-arms, and melee) I'd sneak as much as I could then if I was detected I'd rush in with Grim Reapers sprint and a shotgun for blowing enemy skulls apart, xD few things survive my swift wrath... Except Super Mutant Overlords, Albino Radscorpions and REAVERS, freakin.. stupid... nasty.. THINGS

Here is my Fallout 3 character:

As you can probably tell from that... I prefer sneaky types who surprise their foes through ambush, sniping, and infiltration. Rarely do I ever actually involve myself in direct conflict. My personality is very much the same way. :)
I can also tell that you play Fallout on the PC and mod the crap out of it.
Yup yup! :)
...Quick, I neeeeeeed that gun, hair, and clothing mod.

Usually a hybrid. I'll get the useful sneaky talents like lockpicking and computer usage and such, everything else gets put into rifles and melee weaponry. Rifle to preferably drop them at a range, the melee for if things get....personal.

FalloutJack presents...the Lone Wanderer...Jack.

He likes being quick on the draw, such as incinerating Mr. Burke two seconds before Sheriff Lucas can be shot.
Wait? you can do that?
Yes. Yes you can. Then Sherrif Lucas says something like: "Thanks for saving my hide back there fella. I thought Burke had the drop on me, serves me right for turning my back on him. I must be gettin' slow in my old age."

One of two options:

1. A character who, while not necessarily stealthy, is good at taking out enemies from a distance and can get wherever he needs to go, open the doors he needs to open, and hack the computers he needs to hack.

2. Combat specialist/tank. Heavy weapons.

What if I use a combo of both? Am I just a bit of a pussy/man?
No, that just makes you a pussy in denial.
Hey, I'm not in denial. If I'm a pussy, I'll admit it.

Hell, I know I'm a pussy! XD
Why am I getting turned on by this argument?
Why is my curiosity suddenly piqued?
Because the thought of a woman masturbating to thoughts of (what seems to be leading towards) hot man-on-bishie action is pique-ish?

I like magic. And stealth. So usually a magical thief :p

However, a lot of RPG's you'll see me with about 50 different characters because I can never make up my mind about which dude I wanna play :p

Definitely a Tank. I'm always the melee combat kind of guy. I just like being able to take on droves of enemies myself. Although I do also like it when I can be a tank with a twist, kind of like a Paladin in WoW.

Usually sneaky since I like the bonus damage.
Same here, plus not taking damage from them and being able to eavesdrop on their silly little randomized conversations. I've never been able to level my pickpocket skill, thankfully it's never necessary.

Depends on the game. In your fantasy types like eldercrolls, fable, mmo's ect I usually pick a warrior. It's straight forward and big health pools and heavy armor are reliable. Usually learning to cast or sneak means having to be familiar with a game's mechanics. The front line combatant is an excellent choice for learning the ropes and elderscroll and fable games are nice enough to let you master all the magic or archery you want afterwards. Plus I usually like the look of the heavier armor and melee tends to be more satisfying for me.

In any game with advanced speech options I try to talk my way out of any and all situations. Otherwise what's the point of picking dialogue skills? Usually you get bigger rewards, more satisfying results and occasionally get work from people who'd otherwise be dead.

In fallout 3 I played in heavy armor with accurate weapons and when I could afford it I started sneaking. I'd prefer to pick everyone off from a distance if I could but if heavy combat started I was still able to take some punishment.

Gun is the normal Sniper Rifle.

Hair is "Soya Style 2", found in this mod [http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6843], as well as a few others.

Clothing is the "Wasteland Legend Outfit" found in the normal game. The backpack that you don't see very well in that picture is the Blackwolf Backpack [http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2553] mod.

There you go. :)

Rugged survivalist. I try to take a cluster of skills that will help me stay in top condition while isolated for as long as possible - specializing in light, low-maintenance armor, self-healing abilities, equipment repair, and things like Alchemy or Crafting that let me create my own items. Combat-wise this usually translates to a tank-stealth mix, so as not to draw unwanted attention, but hold my own in a straight fight when necessary.

Nice. In the original fallouts the combat armor came with a backpack. It only seems right to restore it as the armor looked incomplete somehow.
