I just finished with the first season of Kuroshitsuji(Black Butler,) and I'm looking for suggestions based on my liking for that and the following:

Hellsing (OVA)
Fullmetal Alchemist
Death Note
Trinity Blood
Trigun
Monster

Any suggestions?

Soul Eater. Get on that. Now. Don't even think about it. Just go watch it. Thank me later.

Quick question to add on to the OP: Does anyone know of any Steam-Punk anime? If you can't tell by the avatar, I'm a big fan of the Steam-Punk style.

Ergo Proxy and Serial Experiments Lain, if you don't mind things that try to mess with your head. Noir and Darker Than Black are also winners when it comes to more straightforward series.

Ooh, and I can't believe I almost forgot Mouryou no Hako. Talk about your hidden gems.

Watch Baccano! .

I don't know anyone who's seen Baccano! and hasn't loved it. (NB4 I get quoted 5 times with people saying they didn't love it)

edit:
Also Claymore, which is amazing up until the last 2 episodes.

This, Baccano! is by far one of my favorite series ever.

Also, you mentioned FMA, is that the original or Brotherhood? If you haven't seen FMA: Brotherhood then I highly recommend it.

Seconding Soul Eater and Darker Than Black as well. Claymore is also pretty good if you like the violence. Elfen Lied is pretty bloody as well.

Also, if you like funny stuff Cromartie High School is pretty good.

Look up the film Steamboy. All you'll need to satisfy that.

Ok, so I'm probably the last person to get anime recommendations seeing as how until a few weeks ago I'd NEVER watched a single bit of anything anime (Does Animatrix count?). But I watched Akira and well...now...I think I'm kind of....hooked.

I started watching one called Higurashi, and I haven't been this hooked on a show since...I dunno, Battlestar Galactica? Lost?

Anyways, ya, from a non-anime guy, Higurashi is wicked.
Also, I plan on watching this thread to figure out the next one I'm going to watch.

I'm still trying to get my Baccano! dvds back from a friend 3 months later, he's watched them no less that 8 separate times according to his room mate.

Guess I'm going to have to steal them back and write em to my hard drive before he catches on.
