What do you think about the new Metroid Other M

We'll see. A two-minute trailer with very little gameplay is not enough to judge how a game is going. From what I've seen, Team Ninja has decided to go for a more action-oriented route, which plays to the developer's strength. But they could fuck it up, I suppose.

What he said. Yes, it's being handled by a different developer who's infamous for certain things, and they're taking it in a different direction, but that doesn't automatically mean it will pull an Activision suck. It could, but this is a big Nintendo franchise we're talking about, so I doubt it will be a truly bad game.

I'm just thrilled it's not an FPS. I love Metroid to death, but I've avoided the Prime series like the plague because to me, Metroid isn't an FPS. It just doesn't feel right.

Of course, Metroid isn't a 3D, action adventure game to me, either. Guess I'll have to see how it plays to know for sure if I like it.
