What do you think about Warhammer 40K: Space Marine?

My big problem with the game was that it lacked the oomph of W40K. I only played the first couple hours but in the end I think there was waaaaaay to much gun-play. My squad mates literally sat there taking potshots at an ork 2 ft away. The kicker was since he was so close he was moving too quick to be shot. I understand the orks being obsessive about gun-play, but my squad mates should have been mowing into the orks, not shooting him them from point blank range.

Oh, and the executions needed to be shorter. Thats the health mechanic, dammit, don't make me wait 5 seconds for it to work in the middle of combat!

Is the game not available in all regions on steam? I can't find it either.
From the UK? For some reason the demo isnt (or at least, wasnt) appearing for people here, if you google the problem you should be able to find a steam link which takes you directly to the download.
Thanks man. Apparently it's something to do with a deal with GAME about pre-ordering.

Anyway, for those from the UK follow this link to get the demo.

Hmmm, I actually found the guns very satisfying but I agree on melee.
Apart from the very rare bigger guys it's all just swatting flies and that quickly turns from a feel of accomplishment to tedium, wasn't too bad for the duration of the demo but on the full game could get pretty horrid.
Oh and you squad mates are useless, that really annoyed me because they already figured the squad mechanics out with the Dawn of War series.

Overall tho it was alot better then expected.

I only know the demo (Which I played through at least 50 times), but in two hours, I will have it and I will be purging foul xenos and heretics in the Emperor's name!

From what I've researched and vids I've watched (I caught a stream on /v/ last night), I think I finally found something to make me put down my Old Republic Beta.

...Plus it's great that I have 7 friends to play on multiplayer with, screaming litanies of hate and fury at our going-deaf opponents! :D

Though I must say, it's "promotional tool", the downloadable "Kill Team", was a damn riot! I ended up liking it even more than its parent game, even if I've yet only played the demo.
The full version had problems - particularly the checkpointing was very poor and the voice-over was laborious and unskippable - making you work through hard sections and re-expriencing the voice over over and over again. Particularly frustrating when you fall through holes in the floor. Perhaps exacerbated by this, it gets very samey after a very short while.
I meant, I only played the demo for "Space Marine". "Kill Team" I bought. :p

40K is awesome. Kill Team is awesome. Fire Warrior was awesome (mainly because it was the first 40K game I played, its a rubbish game but I have fond memories). The Space Marine demo was awesome. LET ME HAVE THE GAME ALREADY!!!
