So this semester at college my group of friends and I always sit in the same area on our Wednesday lull doing test problems and just hanging out. On that same day behind us is this giant group of what I would call social misfits playing pokemon cards, talking obnoxiously loud about dungeons and dragons, and watching adventure time on the tv.
while today, a buddy of mine who can be very introverted suggested we go out later this week(rather than gaming at his place) for a change. and that his idea of going out is playing lazer tag, where 12 year-olds usually hold birthday parties.
what I ask you guys is what do you think is appropriate for someone to enjoy at their age? in addition to where they enjoy it and how much they indulge?
I think that as someone gets older than have to let go of some things, while limiting other hobbies one would call childish in moderation.
I mean I am a pretty big anime fan, and believe that the medium has a lot of depth to it and pulls of things western media never could, but i dont argue the fact that half of the time it is cartoon figures in fighting robots. and that it is subjective to what age group it is aimed at. I also wouldn't go about watching NGE with speakers at full blast in the school library or walk around cosplaying outside of a convention.
Capcha: do you shop at canadian tire? holy shit how does it know that!!
