Nail on the head.

I'm 32 now with kids of my own and there are times I act younger than them.

Like Christmas for example.

I'm more excited than they arebecause my wife has got me a present, it's sat there looking at me, AND IT ISN'T SOCKS.

As for what I should be enjoying at my age .... anything I damn well want to. There is nobody to tell me what I can and can't do so i'll do what I like. That's the joy of being an adult.

To be fair, East Enders isn't appropriate for anyone to enjoy.

OT: I'm with everyone else.
I'll enjoy the fuck out of whatever the fuck I want to enjoy.
Social norms be damned.

Any damn thing I please.

Seriously, as long as it's not causing harm or suffering to anyone then what the hell dose it matter? If someone in their 30's wants to watch kids tv for example, let them get on with it.

CAPTCHA - perfect world.

Why yes it would be if people could just stop worrying so much about what everyone else thinks about them.

I'm going to have to go with what they said. You're never too old to enjoy childish things.

If someone's being obnoxious about it, though (i.e. blaring NGE at the library, cosplaying on campus), then it's okay for people to be angry with them, because they're being an asshat.

Whatever you want to enjoy. Screw whether other people think it's 'appropriate'. They most probably just don't have their own damn hobbies.

What I like is irrelevant of my age, yet people are surprised when I tell them what I don't like to do.
So yeah, I'm 17 (18 in two months), and when I express my dislike for going out drinking with buddies, people my age are taken aback.
They cannot comprehend how I cannot like going out, just as I cannot comprehend how they do enjoy it.

I can enjoy what I want to, I'm an adult. The only times when I feel it is inappropriate is if it effects other people in a negative way, watching cartoons by myself does not effect anyone else so therefore there is no problem with it.

Oh god, I despise these people. I know one girl who used to play YouTube videos on the loudest setting in the college study room, y'know the room that is for concentration on coursework and revision! I don't see how people so social awkward could not be embarrassed by people judging their tastes.

Okay, first thing's first:

Secondly, I generally just do thing without thinking about whether they're age appropriate. I'm only 20 so I might just be in that sweet spot of being young enough to do things from me teens but just just old enough to do things as an adult, like drink. This makes for an interesting combination, because drinking usually results in reverting to childhood. Why last Sunday I woke up to find that after a heavy night of drinking we'd all crawled back to my place for a Freakazoid marathon and Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments...

The benefit of being an adult is you can enjoy whatever you want, that being material intended for adults, or material intended for younger ages. There's no law saying you can't (unless what you're enjoying in particular is illegal). I'm 23 and lately I've been watching more cartoons than anything else. Adventure Time, MLP, Gravity Falls, Avatar: LOK, The Thundercats reboot, Regular Show, old favorites like Samurai Jack, some anime, (Movies like Wreck it Ralph, Rise of the Guardians) it's been a good year for cartoons and they seem to be the only thing on T.V. that still interests me. I also play Pokemon and quite a few other E-T rated games.

Just because you're older doesn't mean you need to enjoy only those things meant for older people. Have you ever heard the exspression young at heart?

Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.

I only think it's inappropriate if all you want to do all day is play games, watch cartoons/anime, read comics. If you can make a living doing these things, that's great and I actually envy you. I'm 27 and I know some people around my age who ***** about not being able to do sit on their asses all day like they used to almost on a daily basis. It's annoying, grow up, you're almost 30, act like it. You can like "childish" things all you want, but you don't get to act like a child because you can't watch TV all day anymore. I still like to play videogames, I still like to watch animated movies, I still enjoy reading some comics (as long as they don't have superheroes in them. Superheroes are fucking stupid), but I have different interests and priorities now.

Here's an interesting example: For the most part, I still wear the same shoes I used to wear when I was a kid. Chuck Taylors and Vans. The only difference is that I don't let them look like fucking trash anymore. When I was a kid I thought shoes that looked like shit were awesome.

Peter Pan Syndrome; I don't ever plan on growing up. The very idea behind "growing up" is obsolete and boring. Why would you ever want to?

I do what I want. I don't care if someone thinks I'm to old. I don't even care if it's illegal, for that matter.
This is my life, and I'd sooner be dead than live it the way someone else thinks I should.

I know the difference between right and wrong (subjectivity), and anyone who tries to impose their beliefs or values on me can suck a duck.

I will do whatever I damn well please, whenever I damn well please & I don't give a damn if anyone else thinks it's age appropriate or not. I can be the most mature responsible person on the planet when I need to be, but only when I NEED to be. Growing up is so overrated, do what you enjoy.

Laser tag and Piantball etc is fun as hell for all ages, the older you get (to a certain age) your tactical knowledge and the sort gets better so challenge actually gets bigger the older you get.
Everyone can enjoy what they want, if you think it's fun, then go for it.

I'll enjoy anything I please. I'm 30, and I still sleep with my stuffed animals, I still enjoy Disney movies, and I still love my dolls. Though my dolls have gotten a bit [http://iplehouse.net/shop/step1.php?number=2552] more expensive [http://iplehouse.net/shop/step1.php?number=1894] as I grew up. Anyone who tells you what you "should" enjoy "at your age" needs to get over themselves. Do you enjoy it? Then that is what you should enjoy.
