MW3 winning diddily squat makes me proud. Uncharted 3 deserved the artistic achievement more than Rayman.

The lack of Skyrim saddens me. I really dug it, one of the only games i'm still playing (and watching news for) 4, 5 months after release.

Have you seen the nominations? Some of them were hilarious. Skyrim got nominated for best story, a Zelda game got nominated for an innovation award, and modern warfare 3 got nominated for having best multiplayer.

Those are your hilarious examples? What about Dark Souls nominated for best strategy? Also TotalBiscuit had some comments to say about one of the nominees for best voice acting in the 5th GameStation Podcast.

Best original music L.A. Noire?

What is this hipster shit?

I don't agree with a lot of those rewards but this one just baffles me. How on Earth didn't Skyrim or Deus Ex win best original music is beyond me.

Wait. Where the fuck is Skyrim? Why isnt it on the list?

Also why isnt MW3 on the list? Should have got the innovation award. Just kiddin.

Guess i'll have to try portal 2 to see what the fuss is about.

I think the music in L.A Noire helped contribute to the tone and atmosphere of the game a lot more than the music in Skyrim or Deus Ex. The music in Skyrim served mostly as an accompaniment to your adventures. The music in Deus Ex 3 did help the atmosphere of the game, and get along the same type of tone as L.A Noire, but not nearly to the same artistic effect.

Yeah, that too. But at least Dark Souls has strategic elements as a design goal :)

I'm chuffed about Portal 2's achievements. I absolutely loved it, got completely sucked in when I played and really enjoyed just having fun and laughing with a game. I'd have been even more chuffed with Stephen Merchant for Best Performer but I can't really argue against Mark Hamill. Not sure about the Fitness award, I know Just Dance 3 isn't technically a sport but that got me fairly sweaty when I had to demonstrate it at work.
