What do you think of the new Mickey Mouse shorts? (Now with videos international viewers can see!)

So, as some of you are aware, recently Disney has been posting new Mickey Mouse short cartoons on Youtube. And... they're all basically solid gold awesome. My favorite one being:

But yeah, these are just my favorites. They're ALL really, really great shorts. I love everything about them. The animation style, the speed and pacing of it, the humor, the setups, everything. They feel like classic cartoons, but they're just so completely fresh at the same time. The only thing that I'm kinda iffy on is Goofy's design (he looks really odd to me), but otherwise, the only thing I don't like is that there isn't MORE of them.

What do you guys think? Do you like them? Do you think Disney should invest in making more of these and making a whole show out of them?

I watched it, and I didn't really like it. I kind of giggled when he said "weenie's all in" but that was about it. I'm more into Loony Toons though. Even The Loony Toons Show.

The only Mickey cartoon I remember was based on Jack and the Beanstalk, and New York Weenie...wasn't anything like that.

Good on Disney for remembering that they actually have an animation department though.

I tend to side with the Warner Brothers camp when it comes to animated shorts, but these are great. I love the pseudo-retro style and madcap comedic timing.

Yeah, those videos you provided aren't working for me, but I was able to hunt down another episode on YouTube - and it was awesome! (It involved croissants, for those who may be curious.)

Likewise. I've always found it amusingly ironic when you are unable to access content on the internet due to your location in the world. If I wanted to be unable to access something due to the country I live, I'd spend the day trying to find a Tim Horton's in my home city.

OT: Like others I came here expecting them to have re-done Mickey's clothing, buuuuut I'm pleasantly surprised....they're good! The humour is solid, the timing is solid and the stories are pretty amusing. I like the art style.

Bad Ear Day in particular was very well done, the silence lending itself to some good visual gags (and the bit with Goofy in particular was great). If the quality stays this high I might have to watch all of these new shorts.
