I own one. I like it. freinds never play it cause their into the whole 360 thing. but I still do have freinds who play SSBB with me.

I personally like the wii. and I know there are people out there who absolutely hate it. then there are the ones who absolutely love it.
but then again. I'mma zelda fan not as much as I used to be. SSBB is a fun game to me. even when I play alone. I like the fact you can go onto the wii shop channel and buy the good ol' snes and nes games and EVEN SEGA GAMES!
and I also like the fact that I can play any gamecube game I got. ((mostly cause I sold my gamecube to a freind for 20 bucks)) but still.

the wii. reliable. kills boredom when freinds are around. lets you go back in the day and play that old game you wanna play again. and lets you be able to sell your gamecube for 20 bucks to a freind.

:EDIT: and it doesnt have the RED LIGHT OF DEATH!
and also it has yet to kink out on me for having it over a year.

Great First Party games.
Horrible Online/Online Connectivity (Looking at you, Friend Codes...)

Thats my thoughts on it.

I can't stand motion controllers. I just play SSB and other classics with a gamecube controller.

Its selection of Virtual Console and WiiWare games is excellent.

It's got some good first party games, like Twilight Princess and Mario Galaxy.
There are some games coming out soon that seem worth a look.

well. yeah online with SSBB does get pretty laggy which makes it boring fast. motion controls. not that great for most but it still works just perfect for me. the wii has some pretty cool games out there.

one of them I think I wanna play is no more hero's. anyone mind telling me if its bad or not?

You know we really don't need one of these threads every other day.

But considering you don't have a high post count, I guess I shouldn't complain.

Stylish action game, riddled with insanity, boss fights are varied but the fighting in-between can be repetitive, if you can handle that, you will probably like it.

P.S. I love my Wii, and still actively buy games for it.

I can't say I'm a fanboy of any of the console companies, I actually own all three systems and atm I play my Wii the least simply because no games that have come out have appealed to me since probably SSBB, and even then my game staple has always been the FPS. I personally loved both COD 3 and Red Steel despite the kinks of being the first two shooters released for the Wii, and I await in great anticipation for The Conduit.

I believe that the motion control although not necessarily efficient or always comfortable, are both fun and add a certain element of challenge. I've never looked at a new interface as a curse or something bad, it's simple different. Over my life I've had to get used to a multitude of simple controller interfaces, ranging from the SNES and Sega Genesis, to the N64 and PS controller, then xbox, dreamcast, gamecube and finally wii. Natal and the PS3 motion interfaces will be new additions to this evolution.

And no... I'm not one of these mouse/keyboard FPS purists, the concept of Wii shooters was on my mind from when I froze my behind off that midnight in a Canadian winter to get my Wii, and until I see the results, then my Wii will most likely remain the least played...

At first I loved it, but I have come to realize its flaws.
1. Motion-sensor controllers get boring after the first hour you use them.
2. Most of the games are Nintendo standards or little kid pleasers.
3. All the action games (Call of Duty 3, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, etc.) are crap.*

*The 360 and PS3 version of SW: TFU are actually really good.

The Wii is a good console with a lot of potential, but so far not a whole lot of developers are taking it seriously. There's some really great games on it that you can't get anywhere else (and not just from Nintendo), but there's still a large amount of hastily thrown-together minigame collections and half-assed multiplatform titles for it. However, it seems that developers are slowly understanding that the Wii has to be treated differently when making games for it, as it's starting to see more decent third-party titles and better use of the motion controls. The Wii MotionPlus is available now, and it's already shown to be a large improvement to the motion controls. Don't get me wrong, I've loved my Wii since day one, and it is still the only current-gen system I own, but it still has it faults. It just seems like those faults are starting to be corrected and the claims that it's not a true gaming console will eventually be seen for what they are: hot air coming out of people's rear ends.

And I do believe this topic has been done before.

first off yeah yeah I know this thread prolly pops up every two days or so but meh. Iv really only been on escapist for a lil while so yeah. and second yeah I agree. the wii has alot of potential but developers don't really care much for it. and alot of its problems are being corrected.

when it comes down to it the wii is a good ol reliable system that is severly underestimated. and is slowely rising in the ranks.

but it still does have alot of games the only young kids and elderly people would like.
except I do say. super mario galaxy was fun while it lasted. beat it twice went threw it a third time. havnt played it very much since. and yes I LIKED SONIC UNLEASHED.
no not for the werehog part. just for the going hella fast part. I like rushing games for some strange reason.

I have one. I fear that it's becoming the GameCube because of a lack of good games. I can't wait for the Conduit though. :D
