I love my name.

My only complain would be that it may sound nice in the language it's supposed to be pronounced in, but then any other language and it gets butchered.

My english teacher literally made me cringe the first time she said my name.

I wish my name was cooler.
At least my middle name. My first name is fine, and my last name is unpronounceable, so fine by me.
But John? WTF?!?! mom and dad? Why not something weird, like Seth, or Lucius?

Edit: Well, those names aren't weird. I meant, why not a cool name?
Lucius is a badass name.

Trivun is my real name, because I was named after my Serbian grandad even though my dad himself was born in the UK (his name's Tomislav so everyone calls him Tom. He got off easy...). I like it though, it's unique (I'm one of the only Trivuns in the UK and the only person called Trivun with my last name in the UK), and it's a great conversation starter. Useful with the ladies when I introduce myself, I'm not stuck for a topic to talk about because most of the time they ask about my name :) So yeah, it's pretty awesome.

My friends have awesome names, Damon and Thorn, Thorn also went to primary school with a guy named Blade, BLADE, how fucking awesome is that?!

I want a cool name...

My name is Steven Clark, relatively common at least in UK anyway, heck i'm good friends with another Steven Clark (yep, same spelling too) and it can be confusing believe me.

But I like my name, there's alot you can do with it, Steven, Steveo, etc.
Though, majority of the time i'm nicknamed Jeven, why you ask?
Well at my school (or at least my previous school now as I am due to go to college come September) amongst my friendship group I was (and still am) nicknamed Jeven about two years ago, because me and my good friend Jamie would always show up somewher at the same time, we'd walk to school with eachother as we live all of 200m from one another and would show up to school the same time etc.
I was dubbed Jeven, him Stamie, funnily enough Stamie never caught on...
Well that was a small essay, lmao

Jake Suzuki hahaha, when I was born there was like no Jakes. afterwards BOOM! In Victoria Aus, 50,000 of them spring up. I was in a class with 6 Jakes once.
And yea Suzuki, I cop a lot for that.
But hey, if your 4/8's Japanese, 3/8's Irish and 1/8th English your guaranteed to be a tad confused hahaha.

no relation to the car giant; Suzuki = Smith in Japanese hahahaha

But all in all its a good name, Theres a lot worse and no one forgets my name :) I may change it to something more Japanese if I become a tattoo artist though.

I love my name... Alexander... Simple and common... but it suits me... I wouldn't change it!

But if I had to (example: witness relocation) I could go with these names Maxwell or Roscoe.

I know lots of Emily's, so my friend suggested I spell it 'Emilee' because it's cool and different, and it's stuck ever since :D
Family still spell it 'Emily' which pisses me off, but never mind. I still spell it the original way for school and exams because the teachers get confused.

Saskia is lovely and violent (it means a saxon which comes from the word knife yay for stabbing :p) and my brother always hated the fact his meant "born of a yew tree" which was kind of lame in comparison

unfortunately a lot of people think its uncommon BUT WE ARE EVERYWHERE and people always give you strange looks when you say "are you looking for saskia? 'cause thats my name" as if obvioously there can't be another one in the same room

and as my last name doesn't lend itself to yelling like Smith, Barber or Reid I am rather at a loss unless i just check a room and then number us with huge signs so people don't get confused

I like my whole name apart from my surname.

Ethan; love it, and it's still pretty rare

David; common but still love it

Lee; blegh.

I can say with whole hearted honestly that my name is pretty dull actually. All I can say is that I'm never sure if my middle name has a T in it or not and that everybody gets my surname wrong the first time around. And sometimes all the times after that.
