it's just so beautiful, and the song itself sounds just perfect for me.

Just throw me on a fire and play this. Those closest to me would understand.

The National - Exile Villify

It's just a amazing song, really.

(By the way, how do you actually post the video instead of just the link? It would be nice to know.)
You know the bit after the ?v= you post that. So something like this, but without the O [Oyoutube=BXC1jjU45]

Probably My way by Frank Sinatra, possibly Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley cause thats my favorite song but I think thats to depressing- Maybe Brian Fallons version would be better

I think that's probably enough, though I'm sure I could pull out a bunch more. Any of those, or any combination of them, would be fine.

DevilDriver - Waiting For November [http://www.itemvn.com/song/DevilDriver-Waiting-For-November-Pray-for-Villains-Special-Edition/0FE5CD4537] 'Cause I can't find a decent Youtube video.
- In case you can't understand the lyrics, it's saying:
"You hold the key to my casket, no more questions, just the thought of fulfillment, sleep burns my eyes.

Now forced to grasp a world of infinity, the notion is revealed.

Transferring our thoughts into one, swimming in my mind, my callous shell a reminder of what I've become."

Of course, if things actually go the way I want in my life (which they won't, but a guy can dream), then what would most likely seriously be played at my funeral would be this:

Well, I'm gonna go with a song that comes from something that's been a constant in my life: Metal Gear Solid. I'd think it'd be the only fitting thing for it really. Plus, it's "The Best is Yet to Come", one of the three most beautiful songs from this series. I don't need any further reason then that.

*insert Billy Dee reference here*

actually, i think none at all

i wouldn't one any more; neither would i know what i think was... adequate/fitting. i think death is a silent thing (when i think about the patients i saw dying that sounds about right), so silence fits best; also, regarding the funerals i attended so far, music always felt kinda-sorta wrong
additionally, music might influence the way/what people think about me; i wouldn't want that either.

yep, none at all it is

thanks for the thread, didn't really think about that until now (at least not that seriously) ^^

I've always thought the Baccano! ending theme to be pretty funeral-like.

And if that doesn't work, the remixed version of Zelda: OoT's Song of Storms:

Really? No Still Alive?
Still Alive was played at the funeral of a friend of mine. He loved games and had the exact same sort of humour found in Portal so naturally it was his favourite game. His parents had asked his friends for suggestions and it was one of the things we came up with.

OT: I would think something by Green Day, possibly something from one of my other favourite bands.

Perhaps something from the MTV Unplugged in NY album by Nirvana

Absolutely this...

Forget the crying part, people are gonna get drunk at my funeral.

EDIT: And yes, there will be snowballs...
