What do you want to be done with your body after you die?

I think I'll go for cremation and have my urn kept with my next of kin.

As a believer in the paranormal and alternate planes of existence, I plan to still be hanging around in some form, and I'll be making it quite clear to my family, prior to my death, that I'll still be here sans a body. Yeah, I'm too attached to this life to crossover, if that's even how it happens. This is assuming I can remain as an entity of intelligence that can still interact with people and things.

Couple reasons for this... First, if remaining as a ghostly entity works like suspected, to keep a watchful eye over my loved ones and, secondly, to help advance the Paranormal Investigation field even after my death.

I would very much want investigators invited to that house to communicate with me... as long as they can keep the Fundamentalist Christians away. You try to exorcise me and you'll being wearing the living room TV as a hat.

Right now, I'm an organ donor.

So scoop out my innards like a pumpkin and after that I don't care.

HOWEVER, if I ever get the money to do it and if science is too lazy to find a way for me to gain immortality within this lifetime, then I'd like to be one of those nuts who gets Cryonicaly [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryonics] frozen and hope that it becomes possible to revive me.

Like most people, I want anything - and I mean anything - of use salvaged from my body. Internals, skin, eyes... heck, I'd even donate my bones to a university so they can cover then in plaster if it'd help some poor sod learn anatomy.

Anything that's left, toss it in the ocean. No, not as ashes, just as is.

Personally, I want to be immersed in liquid nitrogen until I am frozen solid and then shattered. Then round up the pieces and launch them into the Sun-- I was always fond of extremes.

On the more realistic note, I would like my assets to be used to buy a plot of land somewhere; that land would be donated for a park, with the stipulation that my body would be buried beneath a Sequoiadendron giganteum sapling. Thus, I will become the tree and the tree will be me, and in about 100 years, I'm going to be towering over everyone.

And that PETA woman is fucking nuts.
