Yeah, I liked it a lot in Baldur's Gate and in Jagged Alliance...
It'd be good in team-based tactical shooters.
(And not done the way UT3 did it. That made me angry.)

Destructible environments are really nice.
First-person "parkour" is my new favorite thing since Mirror's Edge and the Brink trailers.

Seriously, "The truth" bits in AC2 was the funniest part because of them, and Azurik, rise of perathia remains my favorite game ever for the same reason. ^^
